Actually, the room was full of people dressed in their finest clothes, but they were deaf to his screams. Looking around, you see that the room is lavish and opulent, decorated in a style that speaks of wealth and excess. The room is spacious and airy, with high ceilings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The curtains and drapes are made of the finest silk or velvet, adding to the luxurious feel of the room. The lighting is dim, with ornate chandeliers casting a warm glow over the room. The furniture in the room is equally impressive, with plush sofas and armchairs upholstered in the finest fabrics. There are ornate coffee tables and side tables, made of polished wood or gleaming metal, and decorated with intricate carvings or inlaid with precious stones. Covered in his own blood, Amani lay on the floor beside a wood table and chairs adorned with extravagant carvings. Despite feeling dizzy, he struggled to lift his head and look at the person sitting on one of the chairs, staring him down. This person had delicate features that might have evoked a protective feeling if not for the contempt and Schadenfreude in their eyes. "That's the perfect spot for a slave like you," Raven taunted. A closer look revealed that the chair's leg was lifted slightly off the ground as if something was supporting it from underneath. Upon closer inspection, it can be seen that the chair was being supported by Amani's hand, which was stuck underneath and injured. Blood pooled around the hand, which was broken and in immense pain. Amani's tearful eyes gazed upon the people laughing at his misery, wishing to escape the torturous room and return to his dilapidated quarters to lament his unfortunate status as a Level 5 citizen. Amani resided in a continent with a reprehensible hierarchical system that predetermined a child's status at birth. The continent consisted of five levels, with Level 1 being the most opulent and Level 5 being the most destitute. The elite class, composed of families who had fought in a 200-year-long war that ended 500 years ago, occupied Level 1. The upper class, comprising descendants of individuals who had aided the aforementioned families, directly or indirectly, during the war, was at Level 2. Level 3 was reserved for the middle class, which constituted the continent's workforce. Level 4 was a lower class status reserved for manual laborers such as farmers. Finally, Level 5 was the most undesirable level to be born into as it condemned the child to a lifetime of slavery. Moreover, slavery was generational, which meant that a slave's children would also be slaves with no possibility of attaining a higher status. Amani, a Level 5 slave, was sold to the Chance family and subsequently became the property of the young Raven Chance. From a young age, Raven took pleasure in bullying Amani, knowing that the slave lacked the courage to stand up for himself. Despite their 11-year acquaintance, Raven continued to torment Amani relentlessly. While Amani had always silently endured Raven's bullying, it had never before escalated to the point where he bled and begged for mercy. However, today, Raven's torment had reached a new level of intensity. Why did Raven suddenly snap like this? Amani wondered. "Young master, did I do something wrong?" Amani whimpered. "No, you didn't do anything wrong. YOUR PEOPLE DID!!" Raven barked. The slaves had finally reached their limit and started a riot, no longer able to tolerate their position at the bottom of society. They showed no regard for life or morals as they rampaged through the streets, killing anyone in their path, regardless of age or gender. It remains unknown who empowered them to retaliate, and nobody knows how to bring an end to their violence. Raven's aunt was an unfortunate victim of the violent uprising. She was in the hospital, undergoing delivery of her newborn when the hospital was attacked by the angry mob of slaves. The room where she lay was infiltrated by the bloodthirsty slaves, and in their fury, they pushed her off the bed while only the baby's head was out. The baby's head hit the ground with a sickening thud, splattering blood everywhere. A closer examination of the woman's v****a would reveal that the baby's head was twisted at an unnatural angle, as if someone had yanked it sideways until it detached from the neck. It was a gruesome sight to behold, but the slaves did not stop there. Driven by hatred, each of them wanted to take revenge and humiliate the Level 2 woman. In a brutal frenzy, a dozen of them kicked and stomped on her body, reducing her to a bloody mess on the floor. Her face was unrecognizable, and her baby was killed in the process. Raven had been eagerly awaiting news of the baby's birth, but instead, he received a devastating shock. Filled with rage and confusion, he yelled out, "If you slaves truly seek revenge, then target those who have wronged you! Why inflict harm upon the innocent?!" With rage consuming him, Raven kicked Amani's head as if it were a football and shouted, "TELL ME, WHAT DID SHE EVER DO TO YOU SLAVES? SHE ALWAYS TREATED HER SLAVES WITH RESPECT AND KINDNESS!" He was so blinded by anger that he failed to realize that Amani had no involvement in the riot and had always been by Raven's side, never supporting the violence. Despite this, Amani still apologized. "I am sorry, I am sorry, I am sorry. You can hit until you feel better. " After hearing Amani's apology, it was as if a realization struck Raven. He stopped yelling and hitting Amani and sat down on his chair, sobbing silently. "I'm sorry, it's not even your fault," he said sadly. "Summon the doctor and escort Amani to the infirmary," ordered Raven to the two boys standing behind him. "Finally." Keefe sighed. ------------------------------------------ summary of the chapter: Due to his anger and frustration over losing his aunt and her child in a slave riot, Raven directed his emotions towards Amani, whom he has owned as a slave for 11 years and who holds a Level 5 citizenship status. Raven's mistreatment of Amani was revealed to be a form of bullying, and he later apologized for his behavior and instructed Keefe to take Amani to a doctor.
