The Tale of celeste; The white Dragon
Thousands of years ago....... I hear loud footsteps chasing after me in the near distance, lots of them and each one angry and carrying something sharp or pointy, all just for the pleasure of ending my life. On a normal day, I wouldn't have allowed myself to be this wonderful or weak. I would have taken them all or at the very least evaded them long enough till I left the village far behind but instead I was bleeding heavily from at least five different places on my body, limping from a broken leg and difficulty in breathing all because I had a mistake, a mistake which I am now paying for with my life. In a moment of weakness, I told somebody I considered my best friend, lover and someone I could have sworn my life upon; Vladimir Rossilio. I told my secret to him believing I loved him enoug to place my trust with his but I was so blinded by the so-called love to have seen that my love would be reciprocated with betrayal and deceit. Vladimir was the first friend I made in the supposedly Quaint village of Forhe when his family took me in after my escaping the couches of 'The Borgos' who were a dragon huntering clan that had raised my village, destroyed everything and killed every unlucky member of my dragon-clan. The rest of us lucky ones managed to escape at the beginning of the raid. I had thought I had escaped far enough so I decided to rest for a few minutes but unfortunately for me, I was followed by one of the hunters who had spotted me during my escape and had followed me. His sudden appearance caught me off guard while I was captured by him then taken to meet the rest of his clan. Although I was born into the dragon clan I was rarely considered a member of their clan because I hatched differently from other dragons. I was born in the human form instead of the normal dragon form and I had different features from them. I had white hair, a little scattering of white scales on my skin, and a very fair skin. Although the human form was another form adopted by the dragons when they reach a certain age, the elders of the clan felt that hope was still left for me when I reach that particular age that maybe I would be able to tap into my dragon side. Luckily for me, I was able to transform into a full dragon as I clocked the age of 200 winters but I couldn't hold the form for more than a few hours every time I transformers so I spent most of my time as a human than a dragon. The human form was quite useful and fun, I was able to go into the human villages to buy herbs and other things needed by the people in my clan. I learnt the art of healing from our elders most of the days because I had nothing better to do like other dragons. It was because of this unique trait of mine being that I was always in my human form that I was able to be confused by the dragon hunters as one of the people captured by the dragons as a source of food. I was then taken as a prisoner and a servant to work for them until the day I broke free and ran away until I reached the village of Forhe seeking refused there. Remembering all this made me laugh bitterly to myself, I couldn't believe how stupid I had been to have fallen for a guy's pretty smile and sexy gait and gotten myself into this mess. The hiss of a flying arrow passing me and thudding into the tree next to me alerted me to the fact that I was almost caught up with. I tried increasing my speed but the wounds on my body started protesting from over-straining them, I would have been healed halfway by now on a normal day but it was not healing at all now because the tools used was laced with toxic poison and the poison was eating its way through my system slowly the more I kept up with the movement. I realised that i needed to get to a safe place to tend myself, no sooner than this thought crossed my mind and arrow pierced through my right leg. The force of the impact fell me down and being that I was uphill, I almost slipped but I kept my hold on the tree next to me and breathed through the pain, my mind was hazy and the pain clouded my eyes with tears while my chest kept on constricting on itself due to the poison. I reached the top of the hill before realizing I had nowhere left to run so I turned back to face i direction i was coming from, the lights were getting closer than i thought. The first wave of attackers were already in my line of sight and the one at the foremost of the line was none other than Vladimir and his father; the leader of the dragon hunters. My chest constricted tighter upon seeing Vlad again, the betrayal was so strong and still a raw fresh wound, I tried using my eyes to appeal to him to save me but instead he raised his crossbow and said "I had always found you weird and never thought that I would foolishly allow myself to get all tangled with my greatest enemy. I thank God that i never was in love with you but you Weren't bad for a good time and a good lay. Goodbye Isla, may we never meet again in next lives or else I would make sure I exterminate you again" then he pulled the trigger on the crossbow. I was so shocked by the revelation of how he truly felt about that when the arrow penetrated my chestbone to my heart, I couldn't feel the pain and just allowed myself to fall into the oblivion of total silence. The force of the arrow was the catalyst to my falling off the cliff. While falling, I felt my life slipping from my body but my soul was not ready to admit defeat so I blindly started to gather look for a way to survive that was when I unlocked the untapped reserve of magic common to my kind of breed. The magic engulfed my whole body and then there was pure silence.
