After Zadie brought her brother and Doc back, I stuck around to lend Doc a hand. I've been pretty much sleeping in the hospital since Donovan left anyway. His scent in the suite was too intoxicating and made me miss him too much. Staying here helped to keep my mind off the fact he was basically going off to war.
I assisted in Trey's surgery, Doc finding it a good learning opportunity. Plus, this is the worst injury we've had here for a while now. He said it would be a good hands-on learning experience. But I couldn't help shake the thought that Zadie would blame me if something were to go wrong and Trey were to die.
