5 - The vampire Book

The princess was so enthralled by the prospect of learning all there was to know about vampires that she was unable to keep her attention and patience for the remainder of the next day.

She was completely oblivious to the passage of time as she continued to read the book.

'As I stated earlier, if a vampire bites by only its upper fangs, he/she can drink blood without killing the victim, the vampire needs only to squeeze its fangs to completely kill the victim. Biting by the lower fangs can convey diseases to the victim which may be vampirism virus.'

'The eyes of a vampire have evolved to be very powerful. They can see everything in complete darkness. Their iris is usually red in color due to the blood present in it but if the vampire starves, all the blood in the eyes disappears to give life detection and it appears to be a pale yellow iris.'

'Vampires have the sight, smell, and hearing of a bat or a wolf, and they have the ability to hear a spider sew its web or a human heartbeat from miles away when they are hungry, as well as the ability to see dust; they have a bat-like sonar system that allows them to feel everything, even without eyes, and to see through walls. Vampires have the ability to see beyond the visible spectrum, allowing them to see the stars even in overcast weather or their victims plainly from great distances. They have a heightened taste for blood that tastes like sweet nectar, and they are able to sense everything in their environment. It is not a smart joke to tell a vampire that they can't taste something because they can't feel it, but vampires can still taste other things, such as chocolate.'

'Not only is the taste of human blood much stronger for vampires, those with experience can even tell the following about the person it came from age range, gender, blood type, general diet, and the presence of adrenaline and drugs.'

'Despite the fact that vampires experience less blood flow in their epidermal tissues, their nerve endings are actually much more sensitive than a human. While this greatly improves their balance and reflex action, it also makes physical sensations such as touch, heat, cold and the feeling of water quite uncomfortable for them, it causes pain to them.'

'A vampire has cold skin, since they are cold-blooded creatures. Their heart doesn't pump nor their blood needs to flow. Vampires are often associated with vampire bats, as they're both nocturnal, have fangs, drink blood and are the main vectors of the human vampirism virus.'

'A vampire's emotional expressions are more expressive than humans. Vampires tend to make fledglings from humans they have grown to love. The act of biting and feeding brings pleasure for both the vampire and victim, comparable to or even greater than the pinnacle of s****l release and is the most intimate experience that either will ever have. Vampires and their victims can become emotionally attached by the experience. Many victims can become addicted to vampire bites. A vampire's s****l bites make the victim's blood sweeter than usual.'

'Vampires enjoy stalking and toying with their victims before biting and drinking their blood. Vampires are excellent predators as they can hunt their victims while remaining unseen. Vampires can also suppress their bloodlust by meditation or eating blood crystals. Vampires were often given jobs of protectors and king-guards in ancient times since they never rest and protect the ones they love with their life.'

'A successful mating between a human and a vampire, and conceive a spawn that shares many traits of both species. Male vampires have the capacity to pass on genetic material with a human female partner. However, it is beyond the ability of most vampires to be so close to a human physically and still resist the lure of his or her blood.'

KNOCK! KNOCK!

Suddenly, there was a small knock on the door and when Princess Sabrina heard that, she was taken aback. In order to pretend, the princess hid the book under her duvet and pretended to be asleep on the bed.

CLICK!

The door to the chamber was opened, and someone walked into the room, but the princess was unable to see them because she was required to keep her eyes closed in order to pretend as if she was sleeping.

"You must have forgotten to turn off the candles, my lady. I apologise for not coming earlier. You have not even touched the fruits yet. The novel must have appealed to you a great deal." It was Rosie's gentle and caring voice.

Following a brief interval, Princess Sabrina felt the duvet wrap about her body.

CLICK! The door finally closed as a result, at long last, Rosie walked out of the room.

Princess Sabrina smiled and chose to retire to her room for the evening. However, she couldn't stop thinking about vampires.

She even started thinking what they might look like if they had all of the features stated in the book..

'I wish I had the ability to fall in love with a vampire. I really want a vampire to come to me and whisk me away with him to a place I have never visited before.' The princess made the wish and smiled at the same time.

With that she drifted off to sleep soon.

THE NEXT MORNING

The strong sunlight landed directly on the princess's eyes, causing her to whine "Is it possible for someone to put the curtains up? I'd like to get a few extra hours of sleep."

Lily reacted by saying, "Please wake up dear lady; it is past time for you to do so. The duchess has requested that you join her at the tea table in the garden."

"Does it really need to be done?" The princess awoke with a scowl between her brows as she sat up in bed.

"Yes, my lady. Rosie has already prepared your clothings." Lily informed.

Princess Sabrina noticed that she was no longer feeling clumsy, but rather more enthusiastic.
