Dillion nodded and bowed with a smile as Princess Sabrina walked out of his chamber.
The princess smiled at him before she hurried back to her room, as she did not want her maids to run around the palace just to find her.
But she came to a halt when she realised after a moment's thought, 'I forgot to ask his name.' She groaned loudly and walked back to her room, her face flushed with despair.
After that, the princess returned to her chamber, where she found the vampire book that she had been assigned to read.
She first had one glass of milk and partook of the fruit salad that had been prepared for her.
The servants exited her chamber after extinguishing her room's candles.
Princess Sabrina went to bed with that book, and she immediately began reading it from the point at which she had left it.
'Unlike humans, vampires have no expiration date and can live for millions of years or more if they are given the proper conditions to do so. As a vampire ages, it is well known that he or she becomes stronger.'
'There are stages in a vampire's life. Newborn - Newborns are vampires who have recently transitioned. The fact that they have heightened senses and emotions causes them to become unstable.'
'Fledgling - Fledglings are junior vampires who are just starting out. As they learn to regulate their thirst and only feed when absolutely required, they also learn to avoid killing the victim while feeding. A Fledgling is considered to be a child until they reach the age of 50. As soon as they die, they turn into a burnt or desiccated body that catches fire and burns until it turns to ashes in the sun.'
'Ascendant - Ascendants are vampires who have reached adulthood. They are the most frequent types of vampires that may be found anywhere in the globe today. As soon as they die, they decompose into a pile of ashes and bones, and when they come into contact with the sun, their skin peels off and they rust into ashes or just decompose into dust. Ascendants are between the ages of 50 and 300, depending on their zodiac sign.'
'Elder - Elders are vampires who are between the ages of 300 and 700 years, depending on their gender. They are significantly more powerful than other vampires, and each clan is led by a single elder. Elder vampires are difficult to kill because they burn in sunlight considerably more slowly than ascending vampires, yet they are far faster and stronger than rising vampires.'
'Vampire of the ancient period are between the ages of 700 and 900 years. They are the most powerful of the non-Original vampire types. These vampires could be slain in the same way as all the other vampires, and they could be killed by an Original Vampire without the need of firearms.'
'There is a widely circulated rumour that vampires are infected with viruses. However, this is not the case. Viruses that cause vampirism mainly infect bats and other vampires; once contracted it takes three to twelve days for the four stages of vampirism to be completed, after which the victim dies and is resurrected in the form of another vampire. Until then, it is possible to prevent vampirism by healing the disease and eliminating the virus.'
'Another falsehood is that vampires are unable to exchange blood. They are bloodline creatures that require blood, and they will never exchange their blood for another. The (Dark Gift) is passed from vampires to humans through the exchange of blood. A single vampire must bite and feed on a human until the person is on the verge of dying. Vampires cut or bite their own flesh at just the perfect moment, offering their own vampire blood to the dying human, who then has no choice but to accept the vampire's blood.
'This is not correct. After consuming a sufficient amount of blood, the vampire is able to remove himself/herself from the victim's clutches just as the human is about to undergo the excruciating transition from physical life to death. In this period, the victim's natural physiological functions cease, but the vampire's blood in his or her veins infuses him or her with the magic that will reanimate him or her as a newborn vampire.'
'Vampires are stronger than humans because they have advanced. In them, they have a lot of qualities.'
'Vampires have a set of retractable fangs called 'fangs.' Their fangs are superhumanly strong, capable of ripping open a small human neck and leaving massive bite scars on the victim's corpse.'
'Superhuman Strength - A recurring topic is a vampire's enhanced physical strength compared to that of a human. Vampires have the strength of 50 or more strong men, allowing them to lift big rocks by themselves with ease. When in direct physical combat with a human, newborn vampires have the advantage of superior strength; they can lift a grown man off the ground and throw him across a room with enough speed and force to send him through a wall or across an alley, they can also knock them unconscious with a single chop, snap their necks with one hand, and crush their bones, all with little if any effort. Their strength improves as they become older; older, stronger vampires are stronger than younger, weaker vampires.'
'Vampires have superhuman speed, which allows them to move quicker than the human eye can see. They can run at high speeds and outrun many beings such as ghosts and demons in their human form, although they are still much slower than a human werewolf. The creature's incredible speed, mixed with its unnatural stealth, makes it hard for the vampire's target to notice or flee until it's too late. Due to the creature's exceptional reflexes, vampires can evade gunshots and react with unnatural speed to any threat. A vampire can take the form of bats in order to get more speed.'
'Superhuman Stamina - Vampires can travel at high speeds for lengthy periods of time, and their superhuman endurance makes it nearly difficult to weary them. They don't require food or oxygen, and they don't need to sleep. It implies that a vampire cannot be drowned. They're allowed to have s*x multiple times every day.'
After then, the princess fell asleep, having read up to that point.
