9 - Forgot to ask his name

Dillion nodded and bowed with a smile as Princess Sabrina walked out of his chamber.

The princess smiled at him before she hurried back to her room, as she did not want her maids to run around the palace just to find her.

But she came to a halt when she realised after a moment's thought, 'I forgot to ask his name.' She groaned loudly and walked back to her room, her face flushed with despair.

After that, the princess returned to her chamber, where she found the vampire book that she had been assigned to read.

She first had one glass of milk and partook of the fruit salad that had been prepared for her.

The servants exited her chamber after extinguishing her room's candles.

Princess Sabrina went to bed with that book, and she immediately began reading it from the point at which she had left it.

'Unlike humans, vampires have no expiration date and can live for millions of years or more if they are given the proper conditions to do so. As a vampire ages, it is well known that he or she becomes stronger.'

'There are stages in a vampire's life. Newborn - Newborns are vampires who have recently transitioned. The fact that they have heightened senses and emotions causes them to become unstable.'

Ascendants are between the ages of 50 and 300, depending on their zodiac sign.'

'Elder - Elders are vampires who are between the ages of 300 and 700 years, depending on their gender. They are significantly more powerful than other vampires, and each clan is led by a single elder. Elder vampires are difficult to kill because they burn in sunlight considerably more slowly than ascending vampires, yet they are far faster and stronger than rising vampires.'

Until then, it is possible to prevent vampirism by healing the disease and eliminating the virus.'

'Another falsehood is that vampires are unable to exchange blood. They are bloodline creatures that require blood, and they will never exchange their blood for another. The (Dark Gift) is passed from vampires to humans through the exchange of blood. A single vampire must bite and feed on a human until the person is on the verge of dying. Vampires cut or bite their own flesh at just the perfect moment, offering their own vampire blood to the dying human, who then has no choice but to accept the vampire's blood.

'This is not correct. After consuming a sufficient amount of blood, the vampire is able to remove himself/herself from the victim's clutches just as the human is about to undergo the excruciating transition from physical life to death.
