The window suddenly became the most fascinating thing I'd ever seen. Anything to avoid looking at him. I could feel my entire face turning red. It didn't help that I was hyper aware of him. But then, he leaned in, his lips grazing my ear and sending a shiver down my spine.
"What's the matter, kitten? I can make your dreams come true, you know?"
I bit my lower lip, my breathing quickening.
"Behave yourself, Kael."
"Yes, my lady," he responded and I winced. At this point, a heart attack was inevitable. I had a feeling he was actively seducing me. He knew exactly what he was doing. Therefore, he was no amateur.
We arrived at the company and I practically scurried after him. Stepping into secretary mode helped calm me down, at least a little.
