Book I - Chapter 8

Violetta’s POV

I can’t believe what my human’s parents did. It was a first time that I came to her. I didn’t want my human to be alone. Especially since I know the real truth. The reason why my human doesn’t look exactly like her parents and brother. But; I can’t really say. Since, it’s not my place to say. Even though my human is a part of me. Well I’m one of her though. There’s more other people like me though.

I should have done the same thing to my human parents. Since my human’s parents are also mine. My human counterparts parents don’t have another half of themselves. Like I am to my human. Oh yeah! I heard everything going on. In other words, my human’s name is Ichigo Lavender. I like the name. Do you know what Ichigo means?

Well, the name ichigo can be use for either a boy or a girl. That’s a Japanese name. But; to translate it to English. Then, Ichigo means strawberries. I know a lot about my human, Ichigo. Anyways; I don’t understand why mother. Which is the moon goddess grant one of the wishes of a human’s plea. I still don’t understand.

These humans of hers. They don’t understand. There’s always a catch when it comes to to these kind of things. I sigh. I know this is a human world. But; it’s sad how there’s not much people who is special like me. I should have snapped my human’s mother’s neck in half. Just like how my human’s brother try to snap our neck. I sigh again.

Oh yeah! I’m pretty sure this wasn’t the city we were came from. We were living in the city of San Francisco. I wonder how my human parents and brother doing. I wonder if they knew that we went missing. Since, they don’t have a basement.

I need my human to be strong and confident in herself. I also know that my human counterpart is also cursed for no reason. I don’t understand why anyone wants to curse this innocent girl. I gave my human full control of her own body. While, I sit back to watch everything unfolding right in front of my eyes.

The little girl starts to stir in the bed. One of the adult try to touch her forehead. As she try to, the little girl felt a jolt. Someone was trying to touch her. She sat straight up onto the bed. She looked around. She doesn’t recognized these people. She stay quiet. She saw lots of adults. And she also saw two boys by her side.

The two little boys noticed she was awake. The little girl saw one boy. She could tell that this little boy is the same age as her older brother. He tries to approach her. And she starts to back herself further away. Her back was against the wall. The little boy starts to frown. He doesn’t know why this little girl react to her. But a part of him felt an attraction towards her. Not knowing anything.

The old man tried to approach her. And she starts to shake her head. Like her body is convulsing. Then, a young women approach her. And she look up at her in fear. The people in front of her sigh. She could understand what they are saying.

“ Look babe! The little girl is afraid of us. What made her like that towards us? “. A soft spoken women says to her husband. The women tries again. She approach her by her bed side. She tries to check up on her to see if it’s still painful. They were shock to see it. Tears trail on the girl’s face. She starts to automatically cry.

“ Step back. Let me try something “. A calm old man says to her. The women nodded. She step back. An old man approached her. “ Hi, what’s your name? Could you tell us that? “. A calm old man says to her. She starts to open her mouth say something. But no words form. The old man starts to get frustration. Because; they aren’t making in progress.

The man clench his fist. The little girl saw it. And she starts to gesture by doing some kind self defense mode. “ Dad, you’re scaring her. I think she think you’re guys going to hurt her “. A calm voice spoke. The girl turn her head. She has a strange person. This was the first time seeing a person like this. She tilted her head to the side in confusion.

This time a man approach her. It was the first time for her seeing a young man. He reach out to her by stretching his hand. They watch what the little girl did. She starts poking it at first. The two boys was enjoying the interaction. Since; the little girl didn’t shake in fear when it was their father. She starts to then sniff at him. She doesn’t know what to do. The little girl knows she’s all alone. Since, her only friend Violetta went to sleep.

If Violetta didn’t act out. Then does that mean that the little girl is safe? She thought to herself. She was caught off guard. The man check on her forehead. She was fine. Except of all the bruises that he saw. They won’t get any answer from her. When he did that to her; she felt a warm feeling. And then she heard what he was thinking. Which was weird for her part.

“ I wonder what happen to this little girl. Why did she show up to our doorstep? And why did she look afraid to us “. The man was thinking in his mind. And that’s when she felt that this man seem genuine towards her. She raise her eyes to meet his. Unexpectedly for her; her hands did the gesture. Hoping that he understood what she was saying.

They looked at each other. They would tell that she was doing American Sign Language to them. But; they couldn’t understand what she was saying. However; they know one thing. This little girl is mute. She didn’t speak to them not once. For now; they have decided to allow the little girl to go stay with the two little boys.

One of the little boy. The one that isn’t in the same age has her older brother. He step foreward. When she touch his arm; she saw a flash of images that is about him. And what will happen to him in the near future. Her eyes turn white when this happened. But to humans; she just appear to be spacing out in a trance.

Violetta saw it too. It seems this is the doing of the moon goddess. Unknowing to the little girl; she cast a protection charm for him. To protect him from getting hurt from any shape or form. As for the second little boy; the little girl could tell her new friend is acting weird in the back of her mind. Violetta gets excited for no reason. She was wagging her tail. This was all too new for her.

She stare at the little boy. There was an intense gaze between them. The two women giggled softly. They could tell one of her child is very fond of her. He stay by her side in every way. He won’t leave her alone. It’s like he’s overprotective of her. The little girl starts to blink her eyes. This was unexpected for her.

The negative energies that was within this family. It leak out of their bodies. And it was absorbed into the little girl’s body. They felt something was lifted from them. And there was no feeling of burden and other negative thoughts. All they could think of are positive things. Was this the doing of the little girl? They thought. But they don’t have any proof of it.

One of them grab the phone. This alert to the little girl. She shake her head. And she starts to shaken in fear. She tries to do American Sign Language. But they don’t understand. She hold her head. Her body was convulsing. She was shaking her head left and right multiple times. It was trying to signal them that she was saying ‘ no ‘. It was a defensive mechanism.
