Strawberry Lavender

It was a beautiful night outside. The clouds was cleared from the sky. The stars shined its brightness. All you could see was the fullmoon. The fullmoon was at 5:32am on Saturday, July 11, 1987. The night where anyone could have their wishes come true. And it did. It took three years to finalize it. A married couple who already had a son was in the house. They prayed and prayed after their son were born on July 5, 1987. They continue to pray for three years. And now it is the year 1990. They pray to have another child as a boy. But their wishes didn’t come true. Except granting them a child who is a girl. A girl who was blessed by every gods and goddess. She was a miracle child. A person who doesn’t get sick at all. Her immune system was strong. She was also a child prodigy. And her beauty will be the death of anyone. Everyone will starts to fall in love with her. Meanwhile, at the corner; a shadow figure watches from sideline. “ I will not make your life a happy one. You made a fool out of me. For this reason, I will curse one of your child. So then your child will not live the life she wanted when she turned 18 “. A female voice spoke. Her tone of voice was eerie. She didn’t want the man she watches from a far to live a happy life. This women only know this child’s father. And since then, she took one glance at the married couple. She was suppose to be the one to marry the man. But, he choose this child’s mother instead of her. Not knowing the consequences. Rather than the man to be a loving father. He would only be that towards his son. He would continue to abuse his daughter if it was a girl. As for the man’s chosen wife; she will mistreat the daughter if her second child is a girl. That was the start of the curse when the child become at the age of three. The curse will continue to spread once she turn at a certain age. An age where she become an independent women. She may be mature mentally. But her body is that of a child. If she grow beautifully then her beauty will be the second curse. If anyone tries to stare at her for too long then; they will get a massive nose bleed automatically. Which will make it hard for the girl to find love. The third curse is if she ever fall in love, she will not be successful in love. The boy that she choose to date will cheat on her. She will not be successful in life either. She will be depressed. She will think it’s her fault for the rest of her life. That’s how curse work. The only way for the curse to break is if the girl ever find true love. Someone who loves her for her. Someone who reject the offer or temptation from any women. The women that curse them will watch. And not do anything about it. Three years have passed. The married couple left their only son with a friend of theirs. They babysit for the boy. As for them, they went to a hospital in the Philippines. “ You can do this my love. Im right here! “. The man says to his wife. He hold her hands while she was being carried away in the ambulance. The people in white coat push her to one of the rooms. So that they could settle in. The doctor look at the lock. “ Wow! It’s almost twelve o’clock. Which will become midnight “. A male voice spoke. He was looking through the health history of this women. The women is going to be a mother again. He look up. He move his head to his right. He notice that her husband was by her side. He took a deep breathe. “ It seem like your baby is ready to go. I could feel the movement from your womb “. The male voice spoke. Other doctors attach her to the machines. They keep track of the baby. To see if this baby has the will to live. They look at the monitor for both the baby and the mother. They are doing just fine. While the women was sleeping, she heard a voice calling out to her. ‘ My child, you will be strong. But for me to help you on your journey in giving birth. You must promise me that you will raise this child. If you don’t — ‘. An unknown voice spoke to the women sleeping. The cold air filled the room. The window in the hospital room was closed. This was a strange phenomenon. The women stir in her sleep. The baby inside the womb could hear the sound from the outside. Unborn child POV I can’t wait to be born. I could finally breathe the air. Since, I’m making my mommy uncomfortable. Because, I could hear the sound of mommy’s footstep. I could hear the toilet making a whoosh sound. Maybe mommy had to use the bathroom. There are wonderful sound. I like it. If mommy is happy then I’m happy. I wonder what my mommy and daddy would look like. I try my best not to make mommy uncomfortable. I’m swimming in mommy’s womb. I also dance around. Because the sound made my body to move. I hope mommy and daddy love me. Especially since I know I will be different like every other babies out there. I sigh. Why am I so nervous to come into this world? Maybe I have this inkling feeling. I don’t really want to feel like I’m right. No! I shouldn’t give up hope. That old hag! She shouldn’t intervene with mommy and daddy’s life. I could tell that I have an older brother. I’m pretty sure my brother look like mommy. I don’t know why but I feel like I could hear things a mile away even when I’m in mommy’s womb. That old hag again! She doesn’t leave mommy alone. I had to protect mommy when I was being created in the womb. She tries to ruin mommy’s life with daddy. So many accidents after accidents. And I don’t know why but mommy had a protective barrier around her. Is it because of me? I have to protect mommy. Oh I could hear mommy stirring in her sleep. There it goes again. I hear a beautiful voice. I swim to where I could hear it strongly. ‘ My child, you will be strong. But for me to help you on your journey in giving birth. You must promise me that you will raise this child. If you don’t — ‘. I hear an unknown voice spoke to the women sleeping. The voice vanished. I wonder what that is about. Oh! My god! What’s going on? I’m in the womb but I could see beyond the womb. Meaning outside of mommy’s womb. I heard the door to the hospital opening. Daddy is sleeping. I saw daddy tired. I could tell he was with mommy all the way. I wonder if daddy is aware of me. I was in a deep thought. I could feel an evil presence. I must protect mommy. Wow I went through the door. I don’t think I’m a ghost though. I will put my focus on the door. It will allow me to be notify if anyone with bad intention tries to hurt mommy and daddy. Sorry mommy I got to check it out! Hopefully you’re protected my aura. I don’t understand what’s going on. But my body moves on its own. Even in ghostly form. I start to hum a song. A song that I didn’t know existed. I took a deep breathe. I also dance along the hallway. Since, I know no one will hear or see me. Unbeknownst to me; I felt a strong urge of power coming from me. It made the whole hospital building even more stronger. It’s like something leaked out of my body. And in strong force allow to be protected by a powerful barrier. The light protect against the darkness. I heard a scream. And then a hysterical laughter. ‘ I could see right through you ‘. I hear an eerie of a female sinister voice. She was staring right at me. I embrace myself for impact. But I didn’t feel the pain. It’s like I’m protected by a barrier myself. ‘ What are you up to you old hag! ‘ I shouted at her in a fit of rage. I didn’t know I had this emotion in me. ‘ Ah the unborn child. I see you’re still breathing. Not for long. I made it so your mother will have a difficult time in giving birth to you ‘. I heard the hysterical women laughing. I heard a very loud pain. It’s coming back to my mommy’s hospital room. The darkness that in front of me disappeared. I felt something. It’s calling out to me. I was automatically being pulled back outside of mommy’s hospital bedroom door. I could see a shadow figure stepping out from the darkness. But I couldn’t see what she look like. I could tell she’s wearing a mask to cover her appearance. All I saw is her black hair. I could see she’s wearing a white coat. Is she pretending to be a doctor? She has an evil aura around her. I ran back inside mommy’s side. Since, my body was calling out to me. I instantly went back in. // End of unborn child POV //
