Jihoon sighed. “I’ve spent centuries looking for answers. There are legends and old texts, but nothing concrete. We might need to consult with someone who has more knowledge of the supernatural.”
Eunji’s eyes widened. “Do you know anyone like that?”
Jihoon hesitated. “There are a few ancient beings who might have some knowledge. But they’re not easy to find, and they’re not always willing to help.”
Eunji’s determination only grew stronger. “We have to try. We can’t let Seojun win.”
Just then, Jisoo returned, her expression hopeful. “My friend agreed to help. He’s sending over a couple of guys to keep an eye on the building. They’ll be here soon.”
Eunji smiled gratefully. “Thank you, Jisoo. This means a lot.”
Jisoo waved her hand dismissively. “You’re my best friend, Eunji. I’ll always be here for you.”
With the added security, Eunji felt a bit more at ease, though she knew the real threat was still out there. She and Jihoon spent the next few days gathering information, trying to piece together Seojun’s plans.
One evening, as they were poring over old texts in Jihoon’s apartment, Eunji stumbled upon something intriguing.“Jihoon, look at this,” she said, pointing to a passage in an ancient book.
Jihoon leaned over, his eyes scanning the text. It spoke of a powerful artifact that could break curses, hidden deep within the mountains of South Korea. “This could be it,” he murmured, hope flickering in his eyes.
Eunji’s heart raced. “We have to find it. This could be our chance.”
Jihoon nodded. “It won’t be easy. The mountains are treacherous, and there are many dangers. But if this is our only hope, we have to try.”
As they made plans for their journey, the bond between them grew stronger. Despite the looming danger, there was a sense of purpose that drove them forward.
