Chapter Four: A New Alliance

The following morning, Eunji called her best friend, Jisoo, to explain what had happened. She left out the details about Jihoon being a vampire, knowing it was too unbelievable without proof. She just said there had been a break-in and she needed help.

Jisoo arrived at Eunji’s apartment within the hour, her eyes wide as she took in the damage. “Eunji, what happened? Are you okay?”

Eunji hugged her friend tightly. “I’m fine, Jisoo. It was... complicated. But I’m okay now.”

Jisoo’s eyes flickered to Jihoon, who was standing by the window, his presence imposing yet comforting. “And who’s this?”

“This is Jihoon,” Eunji said, glancing at him with a soft smile. “He helped me last night.”

Jihoon stepped forward, bowing slightly. “It’s nice to meet you, Jisoo. I’m sorry for the intrusion.”

Jisoo studied him for a moment before nodding. “Thank you for helping Eunji. But we need to figure out what’s going on.”

Eunji and Jihoon shared a look. They knew they needed to be careful about what they revealed, but they also needed Jisoo’s help. She was resourceful and had connections that could be useful.
