A lockdown on love

              It was hot day in Wrightwood California, families had been notified that due to the wild fires everyone was put on lockdown. Three schools were going to be the safe haven Chaparral High, Pinon Mesa middle school, and Serrano high. The families grabbed as much they can and made their ways to each school, the kids grabbed games, toys, and their blankets, the teens grabbed clothes, their phone, computer, etc. things essential to them while the adults' grabbed everything that them and their children would need.  Each family had a long drive to make to the schools trying to get there before it got full.              Sarah's family made their way to Serrano high where she went to school, she was on her phone the whole time talking to her team mates and trying to figure out where her two best friends where. Her little brother, Ashton, kept bothering her, asking why they had to pack? where were they going? What's going on? and she just ignored him not bothering to answer because she knew she would sound harsh answering his questions due to the fact that he was annoying her. So she just put her head phones in and began to listen to Broken. Ten minutes later they made their way inside the school, Sarah helping take out the bags and carry them inside with her dad. While her mom took Ashton to go sign the in so that the school knows how many families and people are in the building. Making their way they were looking for classroom they could stay in, when Sarah's dad found an open space in an English classroom. They sat their bags about to unpack when Sarah got a text.     Team Group Chat Malia: Hey, guys all the students and kids are meeting in the gym to setup camp there. Kate: Ok cool, I'll be there in a sec Tina: Me too Daisy: Same  Sarah: I'll be there too just got get my brothers stuff. Sam: Alright, I guess I'm coming too. Becks: I'll be there. Danny: See you guys there           "Hey Mom, Dad all the kids are going to the gym to setup camps is it alright id Ash and I go?" "Ash do you want to go?" Her mom  asked looking at the boy. "No I want to stay in here." "Well can I go?" "Yeah, sure sweetie just text  us if you need any thing." Her dad said with a smile. "Ok I'll see you later." Sarah made her way out the class room to the gym. She walked through the doors and spotted her team mates. They all gave each other hugs and she sat on the bleachers with them.          "So how is everyone doing?" "I could be better, but I'm fine I guess." Sarah says looking at the gym door and all the girls agree. When Sarah got a text from her bestfriend, Derek.       Derek: I'm in the school where are you?       Sarah: In the gym, everyone decided to setup camp here away from our parents.       Derek: Ok I'll be there in a sec.       Sarah: ok see you soon     "Are you setting up with us Sarah?" "I think I'm going to set up with Derek and Chris." "Alright, well at least give us a hand before you ditch us." Katie said, putting her dark in a ponytail. Sarah did the same and helped the get their blankets spread out and get things organized. When they were done they all got done Sarah saw Derek walk through the gym doors. she walked towards him giving him a big hug.       "Come on bubbs lets gets setup over there." Sarah pointed to the open space in the corner of the gym. Derek seems a little off. Sarah thought to herself Derek looked a bit nervous and like he wants say something. "Ok lets go ace." he said with a smile on his face. God how am I going to her. Derek thought as he walked with her to their camping spot. They both sat down their bags and set down their blankets and pillows.        "Hey do you know where Chris is, I haven't heard from him." "No." "Ok, I'm going to go look around then." "Ok, text me if you need me."  "Ok."         Sarah went to look for her other bestfriend, she's known him for as long as she can  remember. He was always the 'bad boy' type, but Sarah knew the real him. With her he laughed and smiled and acted like a big olé teddy bear, Sarah loved the smile on his face and the way he was with his sister.          She walked around the gym avoiding tripping and stepping on people, and when she made it to the other side of the bleachers under them she saw Chris tying to calm down his sister.           "What's wrong with Anna?" Christian looked at her surprised. "She wont stop crying, and she wont tell me why." Sarah walked to Anna pushing Chris out the way. "Hey Anna come here." Anna gave Sarah a hug sobbing on Sarah's shirt. "What's wrong little bear?" "I don't want to  be here." "I know, but you want to know something?" Anna looked at curiosity in her watery eyes. "These big strong men and women are  trying to keep us safe." "Really?" "Really." Anna stopped crying wiping the tears off her face. "You ok now?" Anna nodded and walked  out from under the bleachers and started playing with the other kids. "Thanks Ace." "Of course. Now come on and grab yall bags." Chris did as told and followed Sarah with a smile on his  face. After setting up Chris, Derek, and Sarah talked about random things to keep their mind off the situation there in.            "Hey Sarah." Malia called. "Do you want to help me and the girls convince the principle to let us use the projector?" "Sure. I'll see you boys when i get back." And with that she disappeared with the girls.
