Maybe I´m an angel underneath?

-Did you hear about professor Lenna?-said Minerva, the pack´s omega and healer. Be not fooled, she might seem like a fragile looking 40 something woman but she could be a vicious little monster if she needed to. -What about her?-asked Alexander- She is the woman that moved here last year and took up the species interactions course at highschool. -That one-interjected Paul, his beta and right hand man in both the pack and his business dealings- She has a good and solid reputation in town and the kids at highschool seem to like her a lot- -She seems like a wallflower but those are the real dangerous ones-said Minerva -It takes one to know one... Alexander laughed. Minerva and Paul had some twisted thing going between themselves but he knew better than to try and butt in their business. As it was, he had enough s**t to deal with as he was already 31 and unmated. By wolf standards, he was the equivalent of an old spinster but no one dared say anything about it, at least not to his face. To be honest, he was convinced that his mate would be someone coming from out of town. When proffesor Lenna first arrived and requested the teaching position, of course he arranged a meeting as an excuse to sniff out if she was his mate but the spark just was not there. He liked her well enough and even thought she was atractive. Her skin had a chocolate tone that screamed to be licked, her hair was a beautiful dark and silken cascade falling down to her waist but always carefully put into a braid. She seemed to have a well toned body but he had not paid attention to it because her eyes and smile really stole the show. -Anyway-Minerva continued- Gabriel came back home saying that profesor Lenna had told them in class her mate rejected her when she was 18-she looked at Paul and then to Alexander- As soon as I heard that, I got worried but Gabriel started laughing like a hyena at my sad face and said that it seemed my gifts as Omega were not needed in her case because professor Lenna is a total badass- -So, you mean to say..-interruped Paul. -The alfa should speak with her-Paul furrowed his brows at that but Minerva continued undeterred- For as long as professor Lenna decides to stay here, she is part of our people even if she has decided to stay in the sidelines. She may be a badass but she is still a wolf and needs conection- -If you are hoping for a Luna, that is not going to happen with her, you know that already-said Alexander. -The way things are, I would be happy that you got yourself a wife even if she is not your mate-Minerva muttered- But really, I dont mean to be a matchmaker this time. Professor Lenna decided to stay with us, why should we keep her at arms distance?- -She made it clear, at least to me-said Alexander-that she would just stay for a couple of years at most because she is a rogue at heart and that she just wanted to stay uninvolved in the pack´s issues; as Alfa, I have kept an eye on her all the time but also respected her wishes- Alexander raised his view from the documents he was reading related to his own business and pinned his subbordinates with his gaze. -I will meet with her and investigate about her wellbeing but that is about it -he said-If she wants to stay, that is her choice and if she wants to leave that is her choice too. If the kids at highschool learn resilience from her, it is to our gain but she is hardly a kid anymore and we must not try and think she is fragile just because of her past wounds. Minerva smiled at that and he felt like he had fallen into an obvious trap but he also knew there was nothing there. He still waited for his mate and it certainly was not professor Lenna. God knew he liked her eyes and that Mona Lisa smile of hers a hell of a lot but it just wasnt meant to be.
