What have i gotten myself into
LARA I slipped into the empty bar stool beside the huge man who looked like he might squeeze any more approach from the ladies who showed interest in him. He is intimidatingly broad and thick, with long brown hair that's been pulled into a ponytail. His beard is so full you can plait it. His scowl, however, makes him approachable as a rabid porcupine, and yet here I am sidling next to him. What I could really use is a cup of hot chamomile tea and my bed, but instead I am here babysitting a drunk adult. My life is nothing short of dazzling, obviously. And no, I am not an escort, but at the moment I feel like my morals are on the same kind of slippery note. Rough day ? I asked, nodding to the bottle that was missing half its contents. It was full when he sat at the bar barely an hour ago, and before you call me creepy, I am not stalking him, just waiting for the opportunity to make my move. While he was sitting here he turned down quite a number of people, both men and women, one dressed in a dress that you can use in a strip bar, while the man looked so well-dressed in tailored outfit , that if I was not sitting close I would have mistaken him for a passerby. You could say that “ he replies drunkenly he props his hands on his cheek, eyes almost slits. I can still make out the vibrant green hue despite them almost being closed. They move over me ,assessing me. I’m wearing a conservative green dress the exact color of his eyes with high neckline and a hem that falls below my knee. Definitely not as provocative as a disco dancer That helping you out with your problems ?’’ I give him dry look and tip my chin to the black label bottle. Nah , but it helps with a the stress of losing a dad ‘’ one that has been absent ‘’ I put a hand on his forearm. It feels awkward , and creepy on my part since it’s half genuine , half contrived comfort. ‘’I’m so sorry He glances at my hand, which I quickly remove , and refocuses on his drink. ‘’I should be sorry too , but think he deserves what he got , everything will be better without him ‘’ he attempts to fill his glass again, but his aim was off, and he pours it all over the table . I rush to get up so it won't pour on me ''i'm drunk'' he mumbles ''well i'm thinking that might have been your plan , considering the way your are drowning in that bottle. I'm actually surprised you didn't ask for a straw in the first place. i said rolling my eyes this man is something else any normal human would be sad they lost a parent, but he is here drowning in a bottle saying it best his father died i am speechless what do i care, i'm to do my job and make sure things are in order how he chooses to handle are his problems not mine i push my drink toward thats my act of kindness , and hoping he doesn't send me packing like he did others who approached him earlier He narrows his eyes at me and then at my glass, suspicious and on guard i guess '' What is that ''? lemonade an ice no alcohol ? no alcohol, drink and you will thank me later in the morning He picks up the glass and pauses to look at me, his eye lit telling me his excited about something or smiling behind the beards and glass , ''does that mean you will wake beside me in the morning ? i raised an eyebrow '' Are you propositioning me ?'' can i he asks"? he chugs the contents of my glass raising his head to look at me i am pretty sure the look on my face is that of disgust ''I'm sorry was joking besides , I'm so wasted , i can barely remember my name. pretty sure I'd be useless in bed tonight. i should stop talking.. the he motions his hand towards me . i wouldn't proposition you i didn't know how to respond to his words so i just nodded, since it seems like somewhat of an insult '' good to know then.'' oops I'm sorry that's not what i mean , i think you might be very attractive '' you have nice face and all four of them are attractive and lovely to look at '' This time i laugh for real and point to the bottle , i think you should end your date for the night anything more than this you will be sleeping at the bar you might be right he said nodding to no one because I'm not in that direction. He makes an attempt to stand but as soon as his feet hits the ground he stumbled back i had to hold him from falling butt flat oh i'm sorry he said its spinning everywhere i'm definitely drunk his face is too close to mine, breathing smelled strongly of alcohol beside that i get a whiff of fresh his cologne and aftershave. he lets go of me , i'm sorry i don't usually do this he motions to the bottle i am usually a very decent drinker , i do adhere to the drink responsibly instruction I think losing your father makes this condonable , i walked to stand beside him , i have never hated being five ft five tall than this moment , even in heels i'm still dwarfed by this man now i have to strain my neck to look at him yeah, but i think I'm going to regret this tomorrow morning , he's seriously unsteady and shaking even while standing.. come let me get you home i practically dragged him out of the bar , now a question in my head which home do i take him to , i dont even know where he lives in the city at this point he his practically leaning on me , where do you ,live here , should i take you to your family estate no not there he slurs now what in heavens do i do with a drunk man jeez it feels like I'm on a boat, a very soft boat it's probably all the alcohol working in your brain i said to him , i dragged him to my car , the last option is to take him home depositing a drunk CEO at the hotel will make a juicy topic for the tabloids and we wouldn't want that. Your hands are small'' he observes as i drag him by the hands , can this man just stop talking i'[m at the verge of dumping him anywhere if he doesn't shut up Where are you taking me to? my house or would you rather i leave you at the bar or in the streets ? and with that he followed me into the car
