"Skin white as snow, lips red as blood and hair black as ebony... and a heart filled of courage, a mind determined to fight and a soul that knew that she could."

A bedtime story
The winds blew harsh on the mountain top tormenting their bare faces leaving the skin red and soar.
"Your highness... the storm is getting closer! The soldiers are freezing to death."
Her eyes left the scene of impending doom and met the face of her closest man, her trusted general.
"Then leave."
"But your majesty..."
"If you fear the lives of your men, you should return to the warmth of the castle Huntsman."
"And you?"
"You really believe I'll leave them all to die? They saved me once and now it's my turn.. and I won't return home before I've found all seven of them!"
The general studied his princess determined face and he knew that no words would change her mind.
"I'll go with you."
"If you wish."
"You see little princess" Doc explained "The General of the Red Apple Army was a strong and fierce man, he'd proven himself in battle against the Evil Queen many times. But he wouldn't risk the lives of his men to the storm."
"But he left mother alone!" The tiny black haired girl exclaimed.
"Because he knew she had a plan and nothing would be able to stop her from executing it." The dwarf snickered.
"She's just as stubborn as you Snowflake!" Grumpy muttered from the corner and the little girl stuck her tongue out as response.
"So what happened next Doc? Tell us the rest!"
The dwarf corrected his glasses and smiled at the young girl.
"Well, your mother and the Huntsman stormed down the mountain. They followed our trail to the old mines."
"Those old abandoned ones?!" The girl gasped.
"Yes, little princess.. the.. ha- ha- hauuuunted ones...!" Sleepy yawned from the back of the room.
"How do you even remember!!" Grumpy yelled "You where half asleep throughout the whole endeavour!"
"Mother fought ghosts?!" The little girl covered her mouth and her eyes was big as oranges by now.
Dopey shook his head and tickled her to light up the mood. But Doc continued with a serious expression.
"Not real ghosts dear, but the foul magic of the Witch Queen."
The princess made herself comfortable in Dopey's lap and waited for the story to continue.
"Your mother is strong and her sword was sharp, the magical creatures in the mines stood no chance against her."
"But the mines where deep and dark." Grumpy added.
"Indeed they where." Doc agreed "We were cold hungry and on the brink of death. But eventually she found us and released us from our chains."
"And what about the queen?"
"The storm had forced her to hide, but as you know there were many more battles to come."
"Yes, but we won them all, didn't we!?"
"We sure did Princess. But now it's time for bed! No excuses!"
"Will you tell me another story tomorrow Doc?"
"After sword practice, dear girl."
And so the little girl patiently waited for her seven goodnight kisses and went straight to bed dreaming of her mother's adventures.
