Chapter Thirty Seven Paloma
I waited at Wesley’s bedside, not wanting to leave him alone. I couldn’t believe everything that had happened. He was supposed to meet me right after a meeting he had with Blake and some other members of the coven, and as soon as he got there, we felt like we were being watched. Wesley got scared that it was Blake coming to get mad at him for leaving when Blake didn’t want him to. Then Wesley quickly realized it wasn’t Blake. I shifted into Fay and we prepared to fight, but once the other vampire came out of the woods and started to attack, I got scared. I panicked and felt like I couldn’t move. I had flashbacks to the night when the vampires attacked my pack. It felt like I was reliving it. Fay and I froze. I was knocked out.
