Jennifer screamed, while Ikenna’s mother cried out for her dying son. Outside Dike was almost over with the ritual. Both he and Inspector James heard the cries of the women from the house and knew instantly that Rogers had risen up to fight. James watched impatiently as Dike continued to speak, he hoped it wasn’t going to be too late for whoever the devil was fighting with; he quickly entered the house to check out what was happening. “...Let this mark the end of the covenant and let the great god of destruction go back to where it belongs.” Dike concluded and threw the bead into the fire.
