My star Queen 💖👑
*CHAPTER 1: The Two Classes
Jake had never wanted to be a class rep.
When Jake resumed he was in the best male hostel called one million boys 😎, that hostel is the best male hostel, Jake had 2 roommates so they are 3 all together jake in science, Stanley in art, very tall and handsome, tallest in the whole school 😊joy has a crush on him though cause he would always pass class A to get to his class joy liked him cause he is tall and looks like one of her anime characters, Ben known as the light boy in science is the 3rd roommate he is know as the light boy cause he is like a Ghost on school,a handsome and light boy 😊, there are others in the hostel buh in Jake room they are just 3( Jake, Stanley and the light boy) Together they ruled that hostel peacefully.
On the day the science class finally decided to split their set into two — Class A and Class B — because of overpopulation, everything became chaos. The list was pasted on the notice board, and everyone was pushing to check their names.
Jake was in Class B.
The girl he had been staring at for almost two months now was in Class A. Her name was Queen.
He had first seen Queen on his second week in school. She wasn't loud, she wasn't trying to be noticed, but there was something about her that made it impossible not to notice her. She was shy, pretty in a calm way, the kind of pretty that stays in your head. For four months, Jake had a crush on her from afar. He knew her timetable, he knew when she came to class, but he had never walked up to her to say a single word. That was Jake — handsome, but painfully shy, especially physically. Online, he could be a little bolder. Offline, words disappeared.
In Class A, there was another girl. Joy.
Joy resumed before almost everyone else. Because of that, she knew all the lecturers, all the classrooms, and almost all the students. She was pretty, slim, brilliant, an anime fan, and very outspoken. She made friends fast. Unlike Queen, Joy was not shy at all.
Joy and Jake became friends very early. It started with assignments. She would text him, "Jake, where is the venue?" He would reply. They started chatting online every day and became close. Jake liked Joy as a friend, but he was scared she would start developing feelings for him.
So three weeks into their friendship, Jake did something stupid and smart at the same time. While they were chatting one night, he asked her out. She said yes. Twenty-eight seconds later, he broke up with her.
It became a joke between them. They started calling each other "My Ex ❤️" but remained very close friends. Best friends, even.
Then came the election for class reps.
In Class B, they elected Jake. He didn't campaign. People just liked him because he was calm and always ready to help. In Class A, they elected Joy.
Immediately after the election, Jake's phone started buzzing. "Jake, create a group chat." "Rep, add me." "Rep, please add us."
That was how he got everybody's number. Including Queen's.
He saved her number as "Queen 👑" and stared at it for days without texting. Until October 16th.
It was Queen's birthday.
Jake saw it on the class status. He took a deep breath and did what every shy guy does — he used the birthday as an excuse. He went to the general class group, copied her number, and sent her a long, carefully typed happy birthday letter. His heart was beating fast as he pressed send.
She replied a few hours later: "Thank you so much for the birthday wish."
That was it. No further conversation. He was happy she replied, but they still didn't talk after that.
The next day was Jake's own birthday. Queen didn't text him.
A few days later, Jake did a small giveaway in the class group — airtime for anyone who answered a question. It was just for fun.
Then his phone buzzed. It was Queen.
"Why are you wasting money? 😂"
Jake smiled like a fool at his phone. It was the first time she ever texted him first.
That night, something else happened. As usual, when there was no light, everyone went to the salon in the hostel area to charge their phones. Jake was sitting quietly, waiting for his phone to charge, when a girl from the Art department walked up to him.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"Jake."
She laughed. "No way, my name is also Jake! But people call me Love."
Love was lively, loud in a sweet way, and very friendly. Unlike Jake, she could talk to anybody. They became friends instantly, and Jake liked having her as a friend because she made the hostel less boring.
Then on a Monday, everything shifted again.
Two new girls resumed. They were posted to Class B — Jake's class.
The first one was Dorcy. The moment she entered, the whole class turned. She was really pretty, fair, with a calm smile. And Kate was with her, her friend. Kate was pretty too, but not as striking as Dorcy.
As the class rep, Jake had to do his duty. He stood up, walked to Dorcy — the first time he had ever walked up to a girl in school to ask for her number — and said, "Welcome... I need to add you to the class group."
He collected her number, texted her, and added her.
And just like that, Class B became even more interesting.
But through all of this — Joy the ex who is now his best friend, Love the girl with the same name, Dorcy the new pretty girl — Jake's eyes were still always looking for one person in the crowd during general lectures.
