Honestly speaking, an orphaned child who was adopted by a wealthy couple can only have a life, either a comfortable life or a harsh life. Ran, being that exact child, had a harsh life.

Ran, as an orphan who grew up in an orphanage, always dreamed of having a loving family, but she never got to experience that. So, when a seemingly kind couple came to the orphanage, she grabbed that opportunity to be noticed by them.

Giddy, Ran felt like her dreams were about to become true, or so she thought. The wealthy couple who adopted her have a son and daughter already. Confused, she later discovered that her new brother was 3 years older than her, while her little sister was only 1 year younger.

For a year, her life was perfect as she described. She has loving parents, a protective brother, and a cute little sister. They also gave everything to Ran even though she did not ask for it. However, everything changed when she was accused of mistreating her younger sister, even though she did not.

Though strange things happened to her, she was still grateful to her adopted family. Thus, she did everything to please them. One would think as if she was their personal assistant and devoted slave. But as naive as she was, she never realized this fact. Hence, bad things kept occurring around her.

Life was bearable during that time, but as time passed, life became cruel to her despite trying everything to keep their life peaceful.

Burned alive, she was betrayed and was beyond ruined by her very own family. She was a scapegoat, she was their living sacrifice.

In her heart, this must be a dream-- no, this is a nightmare that she wants to escape from!
