Recruit

“Hurry, give me your bank details!”

Xinran had no choice but to give him her bank details. The old man immediately wrapped her painting after she signed it with her alias ‘butterfly’, and disappeared from her sight.

She doubts that he’s really going to pay for her painting. But she doesn’t really care about it because that painting is not good enough. She can paint much better than that in the future.

Xinran gathered her things and prepared to leave when she suddenly saw a familiar face.

“Was that Assistant An Feng?”

A young man, sitting on the side, looking dejected was a familiar face to Xinran. When the man turned his head, Xinran clearly saw his face. Xinran’s eyes widened as she covered her mouth with her palm.

That’s really Brother An Feng!

In the past, when Xinran was still working in Cheng company as Cheng Ming Yue’s assistant, she met An Feng an assistant who worked under Cheng Liang, the older brother of Ming Yue.

However, An Feng looked cold and serious. He is someone you can’t really approach. He is also an efficient worker who knows a lot about accounting and investing. The reason why Cheng Liang never worries about having his money stolen. Sadly, Assistant An in the past was used as a scapegoat by the Cheng family when Xinran had her revenge and got killed in the end.

But the An Feng that Xinran is looking at now is nowhere near to that unapproachable Assistant An. If she were to make him her people, she would never worry about her finances!

An Feng glanced at the little kid in front of her. He is not in the mood to entertain anyone because he was utterly disappointed today. He applied to every company in Imperial City as well as here but none of those accepted him because he graduated from an unknown college. He was also getting kicked out of his apartment, and he needed to find a new place for him and his grandmother.

As much as he wanted to shoo this little girl away, it was not his character to do so.

“Hello, little girl.”

Xinran picked up the folder on the floor. An Feng saw it and was about to get It when Xinran suddenly talked.

“Brother, are you applying for a job?” Xinran curiously asked.

An Feng scratched his head. Now, even a little kid will laugh at his hopelessness.

“Ah. Haha! Yes”

Xinran glanced at him. With his big bag and situation, he must be kicked out by his landlord if he’s renting. So, Xinran took a guess.

“Are you also looking for an apartment?”

“Hahah! Yes, how did you know that?” An Feng felt even more embarrassed.

Xinran shook her head and smiled. “A wild guess. But if you don’t mind, I know someone who is looking for an assistant and at the same time, someone who will manage his finances. Although the salary is not that high, he still pays well and he even provides you a place to sleep. Perhaps, you would like to contact him?”

An Feng hesitantly looked at Xinran. This little girl figured out the solution to his problem. But this is too good to be true. A job and a place at the same time? This must be a fraud.

But looking at the charming smile of this little girl and her cool temperament, she looks like someone who doesn’t know how to lie.

“R-really? Haha. But that is… too good to be true.” He laughed at his foolishness.

Xinran took out Mr. Sy’s business card and handed over it to An Feng.

“Well, why don’t you give a try, brother? It would be better if you contact him as soon as possible.”

Xinran smiled at him and left him with his eyes and mouth wide open.

This is such a blessed day. She was able to recruit a potential money-maker for her!

When Xinran arrived at her house, she immediately called Mr. Sy regarding this matter. She assured me that this person that she will be bringing is very good at his job and has a good eye for stock investments.

On the other hand, An Feng went back to his small apartment. He saw his grandma packing their things. He immediately helped her pack and made his grandma sit.

“Grandma, let me handle this.”

His grandma sat down and looked at him.

“A’feng, why don’t we go back to our province? There, we won’t have a problem with a place to stay.” His grandma carefully suggested.

“No. I will find a better place for us.” An Feng firmly said.

An Feng will not allow her grandma to go back to the province. He perfectly knows how his grandma will be treated by her so-called children.

“But A’Feng,”

“No buts, grandma. And you don’t need to worry, I already found a job and a place to stay.” He assured his grandma but in his heart, he was so afraid that this chance might be just a scam.

His grandma’s suddenly lit up. She was clearly happy that her grandson has now a job!

“Really? Then you have to work hard and save money for your future!” In his heart, An Feng is really afraid to disappoint his grandmother.

Hence, when he finished packing, he immediately called the owner of the business card.

When the morning hits up the next day, he prepares to meet Mr. Sy. They planned to meet up in a coffee shop to discuss important matters. It took them almost two hours to finish their discussion. Accordingly, his main job to manage the finances of the building that is being renovated, as well as look out for potential stock investments.

“Thank you so much for accepting me, Mr. Sy. I will not disappoint you.” An Feng bowed deeply to Mr. Sy.

“Oh no, you don’t have to. In fact, It is not me who accepted you. It was the young miss.”

An Feng looked at Mr. Sy curiously.

“Young miss?”

“Yes. Young Miss Zhou saw potential in you so she told me to hire you. From this day on, we are working under Young Miss Zhou.”

Young Miss Zhou? Was it the little girl who approached him the young Miss Zhou? Nonetheless, he will work hard to repay the kindness that Young Miss Zhou bestowed on him.

On the same day, he was able to transfer his things to his new place, which is the building that is being renovated.
