Mina took a drink from her canteen and stared at the castle in the distance. It had only been two weeks since she’d left, and yet it felt like an eternity had come and gone since she’d last seen Klodian Keep. Gedrith and the other dragons wanted to go straight to the Dracan Dominion, but she asked them to stop here first.
Are you sure about this? Gedrith asked.

Was it foolish of her to warn him? Possibly. The man had used her ability for his own gain, but he had also provided her with shelter and food. That wasn’t a justifiable reason for her s*****y, but she felt an odd sense of obligation toward him.
