Mina stood beside Gedrith and watched Caden as he paced the clearing. The other dragons had gone into the cave after Gedrith told them not to pursue Lireth, and Mina told Caden about his master’s history with Gedrith and the Enclave. She supposed he was feeling conflicted about where his loyalty resided.
He cannot be saved, Gedrith said.

Lireth is the most deceptive dragon I have ever known. If she has bonded to him, she is fully ingrained in his mind.
