Malik folded his arms tightly in front of him and watched her through slanted eyes. Diamant's face was lit with a light smile, hiding away any cold emotion for him to detect.
He was lost.
"Yes."
"How close were they?"
"Milady?"
"How.." Diamant's smile widened, "close were they?"
Malik blinked. For some reason, he felt he had to be careful.
"We are all friends, three good friends. We were considerably close."
"That is good. You seem tensed, Lord Malik." Diamant patted his arm in a friendly manner and he stiffened.
"Are you sure you don't want to sit?"
"No, Milady. I'm alright."
"Okay then." She nodded and smiled again.
"My question must have been confusing. I will be more straightforward."
Malik nodded slowly.
"Were Aliyah and Aaron in a romantic relationship back in Ravina?"
