Unknown wolf

There’s a beautiful wolf with bright blue eyes that seem to see straight through me, her fur is full of different shades of reddish brown that mix together in the most breathtaking way. We’re surrounded by darkness, I can’t see anything except her. “I can’t wait to properly meet you. I’ve been waiting so long for you, Elena. He’s been waiting too.” It sounded as if the words were coming from the back of my mind, I almost felt a presence of something within me as the words faded away into my thoughts. The wolf turns and begins to walk away. Darkness surrounds me and leaves me with an empty feeling of panic. My alarm goes off and suddenly I’m back in my bedroom. I have a king sized bed with a black comforter, dusty blue walls with gray carpet. My room is full of bookshelves with all kinds of books. I have a 75 inch tv with all kinds of game systems and games. It’s 4am already, I feel like I just went to bed. I begrudgingly get out of bed to brush my teeth and get ready. I’m 5’2 with brown wavy hair and blue eyes that always seem so incredibly dull. I get my work out shorts and a tank top on, I get my hair into a ponytail. I hurry down the stairs and I almost bump into Jeff, he’s my family’s personal chef. Jeff is a skinny man, he’s about 5’6 with blonde curly hair and green eyes. “Isn’t it a little early for you to be here?” Jeff just shrugs at me. “Your parents requested I come early to fix them breakfast before their flight. Are you going to be okay by yourself while they’re gone? I’m sure Mia would be happy to come stay with you for a while.” Mia is my family’s maid, she’s 4’11 and has long black hair and hazel eyes. “I’ll be okay, it’s always been like this. See you after my run, Jeff.” My parents are always gone, Jeff and Mia took care of me as a child. I also had a live in nanny until my tenth birthday. I rush out the door and do my normal run around my family’s property and then did my normal yoga routine. The property is huge, we have a five story house, a pool and a lot of land. A lot of our land actually includes a large chunk of forest, I begged my parents not to clear it all away like they wanted to. I love it out there, it’s really peaceful. Afterwards I took my shower and got ready for the long day ahead. I take one last look in the mirror. My wavy hair almost comes down to my waist, my jeans hug my curvy hips perfectly and my black tank top fits tightly around my c cup breasts. I quickly do my eyeliner and head downstairs for breakfast with Jeff and Mia. My parents are already gone for their business trip, there’s no telling how long they’ll be gone this time. And they never tell me where they’re going. “What are you going to do today, Elena?” Mia smiled as she said that. “I haven’t decided yet. I might drive into the city to visit that new club opening up. I’m sure Emily would love the company.” I gave her the biggest grin I could manage, she hates when I use my fake ID. She rolls her eyes at me. “Emily has always been a bad influence on you. Neither one of you should be going out and partying, especially not you.” My parents want me to go to college for business and take over their stock company one day, but I don’t know if that’s what I want. After some light conversation with the two of them they went home and I got in my black mustang to head towards the city. I’m so ready for something different, all I do is workout or help out with the family company. I graduated from high school a year early, so I don’t have to worry about that. The drive took about an hour and a half and I met Emily at the mall. We shopped for makeup, lingerie, dresses, jewelry and shoes. I bought stuff from every single store. We stopped for lunch and she started on me almost immediately. “Elena, we need to go out for your birthday. We’ve only got a week until your birthday and you haven’t agreed to any of my ideas.” Emily pouted as she said it. “We can say that tonight is for my birthday, we’ll go all out and stay out as late as you want. I can spend the night with you too.” “It won’t be the same as your actual birthday and I don’t have long enough to plan anything new tonight, but it’ll have to do.” She was still halfway pouting as she said that. After lunch we packed everything into our cars and headed to her house. Her house is a little smaller than mine, she has a front gate that has to be opened by security guards. They know me and my car, so they never stop me. It’s a three story house with at least three bedrooms on each floor. I brought in the makeup and outfit I was planning on wearing for tonight and headed up to her bedroom to start getting ready for tonight. When Emily finally approved both of us I turned and looked in the mirror to see the final results. My hair was loose with my natural waves, my black dress had thin straps and came to about my mid thigh. I was wearing black open toed six inch heels. My make up was a simple smokey eye with eyeliner and clear lip gloss. Emily was wearing a black strapless dress that covered a little more than mine did and almost went down to her knees. Her black hair was straightened and came down to her shoulders. She had natural eyeshadow with some black eyeliner and red lipstick. Her personal driver had taken us to dinner and then to the club. It was loud and dark, three of the walls are lined with tables and the fourth wall is almost completely covered by the bar. Most of the people in here were already buzzed and dancing. Emily and I got a table and we each had a few mixed drinks. After a while of that Emily dragged me to the dance floor. “You need to loosen up, Elena. You can’t always be so tense, it’s been so long since you’ve let go a little.” She said it a little too loud. I didn’t even respond to her, we began dancing and grinding on each other. Emily went off to dance with a guy and whispered in my ear that she was sorry for ditching me. I drunk a couple more mixed drinks and I was sitting at the bar on my own without a care in the world. I turned around and saw my boyfriend of three years. Jake is about 6 foot tall, he has really short brown hair and hazel eyes. He was extremely attractive. Jake has a blonde woman sitting on his lap and I watch as he leans in and kisses her. It didn’t look like it was their first kiss either. I try my hardest not to cry, not here and not in front of them. I take a picture of them on my phone, then I grab my drink and throw it on both of them. She screams and he looks up at me with a look of pure shock. “Don’t ever contact me again.” “Elena! Wait!” He sounded almost as if he regretted it. “What the f**k is going on here?” Emily sounds pissed as looks at the sight before us. The second she sees me her expression immediately softens, she grabs my arm and pulls me out of the club. When I knew we were out of earshot I couldn’t hold the tears back any longer. Emily held me and pulled me into the car when her driver pulled up for us. “Three years, Emily. I love him and he did this.” I could barely get the words out in between sobs. I ended up staying with Emily for the next few days, but Mia is starting to worry about going so long without seeing me. I decided not to tell Mia or Jeff about Jake yet. The drive home felt like it went by extremely fast, when I got there Jeff and Mia were waiting for me outside. Mia hugged me before I could even get out of the car, Jeff isn’t one for hugs. They both helped me carry my bags into the house and then we sat in the living room to catch up. “Tomorrow is your birthday, what do you want to do for the day?” Mia asked the first opportunity she could. “I’m going to stay home by myself and have a day without stress or worrying about getting anything done within a certain amount of time.” They both seemed unhappy with my decision, but didn’t try to argue with me about it. Mia talked about her kids, her youngest is going to start school next year and she’s upset with how fast time is going by. Jeff told me about how he finally proposed to his girlfriend, but they’re still debating on the official date. We talked for the rest of the day, only stopping to eat and watch a couple of movies. I love hearing their stories about their families, my parents think it’s unprofessional to talk like this when them. So I can only do it when my parents aren’t around. It was late when Mia and Jeff went home. I decided to go through my room and throw away everything that has to do with Jake. The first thing I got to was a locket shaped like a heart, it had a picture of us the day he asked me out. It was right before my fifteenth birthday, I looked so excited. It’s time to move onto the pictures. There’s pictures of us at parties, dinner with our families, out with friends, on dates at our favorite restaurant, the day he gave me a promise ring and so many more. I look down at my hand with tears in my eyes as I realize I’m still wearing the promise ring, but I just can’t bare to take it off yet. I throw away dresses, stuffed animals, the letters, and everything else I can think of. I sit on my bed and cry myself to sleep. All of a sudden I was surrounded by complete darkness with that beautiful wolf again. “I’m sorry I can’t be with you right now. I really need you to trust what I’m about to say. I know it’s going to sound crazy, but when you wake up don’t go out or exert to much energy. You’ll understand soon enough.” The wolf looks at me with sad eyes as she fades away. I awoke with a start, it was just a dream. I look at my clock, it’s already 11am. I slept in really late, especially for me. I go into the bathroom and get ready for the day, then I hurry down stairs for breakfast. I’m starving, but I gave Jeff and Mia the day off. It’s a good thing I had Jeff to teach me how to cook for all these years. I fix scrambled eggs, a ton of super crispy bacon and waffles. After I’ve eaten more than I ever think I have at one time in my entire life I change into a bikini and head outside. I swam and sat by the pool basically all day, only stopping to eat or drink. It’s starting to get dark. I grab a bottle of tequila and some ice cream before heading to my bedroom. Jake and I were going to have s*x for the first time tonight, but I guess he decided he couldn’t wait that long. I drink straight out of the bottle and eat my ice cream while watching Netflix. I watched a couple of movies, but around 11pm I got a terrible pain in my stomach. I can’t hold back the screams as the pain gets worse and spreads through my entire body.
