Amir’s free moments were fraught with worry. There wasn’t much time to think of Jae during the chaos of Thanksgiving, but every time he checked f*******: he searched for those hope-filled posts he had grown so used to. Sometimes Jae sent him short messages, simple Hope your family’s well and Dinner was good and other innocent phrases that secretly meant there wasn’t anything too scary happening at his place.
