Breakfast the next morning was awkward and tense. Ken had spoken to Todd the night before to settle when he would move out. He wanted to be back in Connecticut before the holiday travel slog so he could start his managerial position as soon as the season was over. They settled on a move-out date in less than two weeks, so long as Ken paid his December rent to cover the costs while Todd and Amir searched for a replacement.
As big of a pain as Ken was and amidst all the angst about Jae, Amir was sad to see him go. There had been a time when Amir and Ken loved each other.
