Amir had heard stories of actual biker gangs that dedicated their time to protecting abused women and children. Sadly only two of the Pride Riders owned motorcycles, and they all arrived in their cars anyway. The thunder of revving engines would have been a nice herald of their arrival at Jae’s and Declan’s apartment building. However, it was more like they were gathering for another outing. Amir, Jae, and Todd got there first, but the other cars pulled up into the available street parking spaces over the course of fifteen minutes.
Jae pointed out Declan’s car. “He’s home. I thought maybe he’d be out looking for me, since he can’t exactly call to find out where I am.” He started trembling. “J-Just a heads up, th-there’s a chance when we get up there he-he’s gonna b-be…” Jae rub
