Chapter 2

Liam Salvador sat at the head of the long glass table. The boardroom felt smaller than usual. Too tight. Too loud. Men in expensive suits shouted at each other. Voices overlapped. Hands slammed on the table. Faces were red with anger. Their eyes burned like hungry animals. They looked at Liam like he was prey. “The stocks are dropping!” “You promised stability!” “This deal is reckless!” Liam’s jaw tightened. He said nothing at first. He watched them. Watched the fear behind their anger. Watched how quickly loyalty disappeared. Then he slammed both hands on the table. The sound echoed through the room. “Enough!” he shouted. Silence fell instantly. Even the air seemed to freeze. Liam stood up slowly. His eyes were cold. His voice was calm but sharp. “The company is experiencing a setback,” he said. “A small one.” He walked around the table, his shoes clicking softly on the floor. “And you,” he continued, pointing at them one by one, “who are supposed to be the so-called pillars of this company. Instead, you are acting like frightened children.” No one spoke. Liam turned to the large screen behind him and pressed a button. A picture appeared. A simple chocolate shop logo. Mi’ Amores. “We are entering the chocolate market,” Liam said. Murmurs filled the room. “A chocolate shop?” someone scoffed. “Yes,” Liam replied calmly. “A brand that represents love. Comfort. Friendship.” More whispers. Liam raised his hand. His personal assistant stepped forward with a tray. Small plates. Each plate held a piece of chocolate. “Try it,” Liam said. The board members hesitated. Then one by one, they tasted it. Silence returned. Slow nods followed. “This is… good.” “What flavor is this?” Liam allowed himself a small smile. “Mi’ Amores chocolate.” The mood shifted. Support replaced anger. The meeting ended on a better note. As soon as they left, Liam walked down the hallway, he turned to his PA. “Set a meeting with the owners of Mi’ Amores today,” he ordered. “Today. No excuses.” “Yes, sir.” The PA paused. “What about the other options sir?” Liam stopped. He turned with a deep froze. His PA froze instantly. “I’m on it sir,” he said sharply as he walked away. Moments later, the door burst open. “Liam!” Sky, Liam childhood friend. She walked in like she owned the place. He frowned. “Knock.” She laughed and waved it off. “We’ve known each other for years. Don’t be boring.” She leaned against his desk, her smile flirtatious. “I’m celebrating my birthday today,” she said. “Come with me to Micheals Hotel.” “I’m not interested,” Liam replied coldly. She rolled her eyes. “Guess who is checking into the same hotel today. The CEO of P&A Group.” Liam paused. That caught his attention. “What time?” he asked. She smiled proudly. “I’ll send you the details.” Liam nodded. She laughed, I would just wait for you to be done. He left as soon as he was done. As he paused half way, then turned to the receptionist outside. “If anyone comes looking for me, I’m not available,” he said. Then he paused. “But if a Miss Carie Williams arrives, she is important. Make sure she meets me today.” “Yes, sir.” Liam left with Sky. Carie rushed into the company building shortly after. Her heart was racing. She went to the reception desk, hopeful and nervous. At Micheals Hotel, Sky led Liam to a private room. “Wait here,” she said. “I’ll be back.” She gave out a mischievous smile that somehow made Liam worry. “Where are you going?” He asked softly. She didn’t bother answering that, she left immediately. An attendant rolled in a tray of food and wine. Liam barely touched the food. He drank the wine. Just a little. Then he left for the restaurant downstairs to meet the CEO of P&A Group. The meeting started well. They talked business. Then Liam began to feel strange. His head felt heavy, his stomach growled. His body felt warm. Too warm. “I… excuse me,” Liam said, standing up. “I’m not feeling well.” He walked into the corridor. His steps slowed. The heat spread through his body. His breath became uneven. “What the hell…” he muttered. He reached the room Sky had shown him earlier and tried the door. It was locked. He tried to press in the pass key but then his vision blurred everything tripled. Liam struggled a bit before he finally got it right. Then the door opened. A woman stood there. His vision blurred. He blinked several times. Then he recognized her. “Carie Williams?” he looked at her confused. She looked flushed. Her eyes were glossy. Her lips slightly parted. She swayed forward. “You made me wait,” she said softly, almost falling into him. Liam swallowed hard. She was beautiful. She was hot and somehow he was slowly loosing his control. He tried to stay upright. Tried to stay sane. But his body betrayed him. The heat burned. He stepped inside. The door closed behind them. Carie grabbed him by the collar, pushing against the wall. Her breathing fast. “God I want to kiss her so bad!” Liam’s thought ran wild. She was too close. He hated how much his body responded to her. She wanted him and he knew he wanted her too but this was just wrong. Liam ran a hand through his hair. Something was wrong his body today. Very wrong. For the first time, he lost all control of his body. But his thoughts were slipping. Carie moved closer. Too close. Her scent wrapped around him. Sweet. Soft. Dangerous. Every part of him wanted her. And that terrified him. “Stop,” he said weakly. She didn’t hear him. Or maybe she didn’t understand. She grabbed his shirt. Pulled him closer. Then she kissed him. Liam froze. Shock ran through him. His hands hovered in the air. He should push her away. He should leave. But his body burned. His mind screamed. His lips moved on their own. He kissed her back. Just once. Then deeper. Her hands clung to him like she was afraid he would disappear. His grip tightened around her waist. This time they went in deeper. Like a hungry lion, he tore out her shirt. Her bra was another obstacle in his way. Liam gasped. He pulled Carie in for another kiss as his hands slowly slipped into her bra. He n*****s were hard and thick like they were expected him. Carie moaned with every touch he made on her body. He was teasing her slowly and she loved it. He kissed down to her neck. His fingers dug through the linings of her bra, pulling it down. Carie let out a tiny laugh. She cupped his face in her hands as she directed him to suck in her n*****s. Liam took them in whole heartedly. His fingers were quick as they found their ways in between her legs. A tiny moan escaped her lips. Carie cried out as she felt his fingers dug deeper into her. “Do you like it?” He whispered softly in her ears. “I love it,” carie whispered with a shaky voice. She felt shy instantly, hating herself. How could she let him in fully. Liam smiled and got faster and deeper with his fingers. Carie mind went blank instantly, she screamed. Liam laid down as he pulled out his c**k directing it at carie. “Have a taste s**t” Carie smiled as she accepted his offer, pulling his c**k down her throat. Liam moaned almost too loudly. He grabbed her hair as he pulled her deeper and faster. The hot afternoon became hotter for both of them, even the Air conditioner couldn’t do Justice to that. Carie screamed as soon as he found his way in. “Sorry, I’m not gentle,” her grabbed her waist as he pulled in and out of her. The day was long for the both of them. Carie didn’t realize when she fell asleep. She had never slept so deeply in a long while. And then a loud bang woke her up. Sky stood before them with her ey es widened. “How dare you!” She shouted. Her eyes filled with so much anger. Carie blink confused. Just then memories flood back in. Carie eyes widened. He lips patted open but she could partly say a word. She dragged the duvet to cover herself properly. She has just slept her way out of the only chance to save her company. At this point, she knew it was over for her.
