~RYKER~
I knew meeting Jade was inevitable when I realized what pack I was heading towards.
What I didn't expect was that she was the president's precious daughter, the one he had made everyone swear to keep their hands off.
She was my f*****g mate. After all these years, everything still circled back to her.
She looked entirely different from the girl I had left all those years ago.
Gone was the innocent timid girl that hid behind her glasses and in her place was someone I could barely recognise.
She had loved her dark auburn hair and seeing that she was now red haired didn't sit right with me at all.
My phone rang at that moment, interrupting my thoughts.
“Yes Prez” I said into the phone as I pushed myself off my motorcycle.
Some people that walked by seemed to recognize me and raised up their hands to wave but I ignored them.
I hated this pack and that included the people.
“Are you on your way back with her?” He asked and I could hear the excitement in his tone.
To see a man that's feared by thousands so excited to see his daughter was truly enlightening.
“She's getting her motorcycle. I'm waiting for her” I informed him and he let out a disappointed sigh.
“Protect her with your life. I don't want to see a single scratch on her” He ordered coldly.
“Understood Prez”
“Head to the dive bar first and make sure the batches of guns are ready to be sold. We have an important client tonight” He instructed.
“Copy that, Prez” He hung up and I ran my fingers through my hair with a sigh.
Where was she?
After half an hour passed, I knew I had to go looking for her. She might have run away or something just to avoid coming with me.
“So bothersome” I muttered as I got on my motorcycle and drove towards her house. I had gone over there so many times that even after all these years; the directions were still engraved in my mind.
Nothing in this pack had changed. Everyone was still a slave to the system and It was a sad sight to see.
The closer I got, the more restless my wolf got.
“What is it?” I questioned but he just responded with a whimper which made me frown.
Something was wrong.
“Let go!” My blood ran cold as soon as I heard Jade's Scream.
I hadn't even waited for the motorcycle to stop fully before hopping off and running towards her scream.
I heard a crash before the garage door flew open and Jade stumbled out with blood gushing out from her head and rolling down her face.
My heart sank at the sight of her.
“f**k!” I cursed as I rushed towards her before she crashed to the ground.
“Don't…” She began as she tried to push at my chest but I just held her tightly.
“Save that stubborn energy and keep your eyes opened, okay?” I told her as I pulled her closer, coating my jacket and clothes with her blood.
Why wasn't she healing?
“Make sure she doesn't escape. I'll kill that piglet”
I glanced up at the sound of the voice and once I saw who it was, my vision turned red.
Jake and I used to be acquainted when I still lived here so seeing him target Jade had my wolf wanting to tear him apart.
Jake's eyes widened as soon he saw me and I noticed Jade had managed to land a few vital hits on him and his buddies.
I had to push away my pride as I watched him.
“Ryker? You're back bro? Look at you” Jake said with a smile. “We have missed you, every one of us…”
“You hurt her?” I asked with a calm tone and he glanced down at Jade's immobile body in my arms before his boastful gaze met mine.
“I did. What? Should I have done more?” He questioned and I clenched my fist as I shook with fury.
“Kill him!” My wolf roared and I slowly placed Jade down on the concrete ground.
“Count to fifty and stay still,” I told her. She didn't respond but I know she heard me.
“Is something wrong?” Jake asked with a confused tone as I straightened up and turned back to him.
I flashed him a smile that didn't quite reach my eyes.
“How about we go catch up in the garage?” I asked and his eyes lit up with excitement.
“We have a lot to catch up on bro” I followed behind him silently, closing the door behind us.
“Did you know that…” The minute he turned around, I landed a punch across the face then grabbed onto his neck and slammed him against the garage door.
The other's eyes widened and they tried to run away but I grabbed onto their heads and slammed it against the concrete wall.
They slid down to the ground, leaving a trail of blood on the wall.
“Ry… Ryker, what are you doing?” I heard Jake choke out behind me and I finally focused my anger towards him.
“You enjoy beating up women right?” I asked with a low tone as I walked towards him.
He shifted back with fear in his eyes.
“That's not a woman, she's a pig no matter how much weight she loses. Remember?” He asked like I was supposed to share the same sentiment with him.
Without another word, I reached into his mouth and sliced off his tongue.
He let out a pain filled scream as blood rushed out of his mouth.
I grabbed onto his throat and pulled him towards me.
“You should be lucky that I have Jade outside counting right now or I would take my sweet time torturing you” I said before ripping out his heart and letting his body drop cold then stomped on his heart.
“Such insolence” I muttered before glancing around the garage and realizing Miss Amaya was going to come back home to a murder case.
I ignored everything and rushed back to Jade. Just like I had expected, her stubborn ass was trying to get up.
“What didn't you understand by stay still?” I asked as I reached out to grab her arm but she slapped it away.
“Don't try to act like you bloody care” She muttered through clenched teeth and I scoffed.
“That doesn't matter. Your father put you in my care and therefore, I'm going to protect you with my life if that is what it takes to get you to him safely” I told her and she tried her hardest to glare at me.
“Suck my di…” Her eyes rolled to the back of her head before she could complete her sentence and I immediately pulled her into my arms.
I let out a sigh as I pushed her hair out of her face.
“You're going to be the death of me, wildflower”...
