Truth

Rain's pov

Adrian sits on the bed beside where I am laying and takes my hand. He is waiting patiently for me to begin. So with a shaky breath I began my story.

"When I was little, my mother said that they gifted me. I never knew what she meant until one day I was playing in the woods alone and rouge tried to attack me. I screamed as loud as I could and something happened, the whole ground shook and the rouge was thrown into the air. He was so shocked and terrified of me he ran off. That’s when my mother took me to see the Witch Dreena,  I heard her tell mom that she could suppress my power but it wouldn’t last long. My mother agreed, and Dreena did a spell using my blood. I don’t know exactly what power they suppressed, but I feel it coming back. I am scared that I will be a monster."

I look up at Adrian expecting him to be shocked, Scared or maybe even disgusted, but he wasn’t he was smiling at me he finally says,

“Rain, honey. You could never be a monster”.

I stop him holding my hand up. "You still don’t know everything. See the day I let out the scream it killed all small animals in a half-mile radius around.  Dreena said I could control some of it as an adult but now she is dead my parents are both dead. Everybody who knew anything about me is dead except for Agnes. I don’t even know what I am."

“It will be OK Rain; Adrian says now, rubbing my arm gently. I will help you. Charlie and Landon are tracking Agnes down as we speak. I have one question,"he says to me. I look at him questionably. "Does Nickolas have any powers?"

I shake my head and ask him to go get Nickolas. Within a few minutes they are back in the room. I motion for Nickolas to come here, and he does. I whisper to him to show Adrian his trick.

Nickolas walks over to Adrian and takes his hand, pulling him down in a crouching position. He the reaches up and touches Adrian face at the temple with both hands. I see Adrian smile and I know that Nickolas is showing him our past. Adrian then looks angry so I know Nickolas is showing him our second home where we were treated so badly. I then see Adrain smile again as I know Nickolas is showing him us here. Adrian says as Nickolas lets go is that all. Shaking his head no, he raises his hand again to touch Adrian and jolts him so hard Adrian has to step back. I laugh a little as Adrian looks confused at how such a small boy could do that to him. Adrian then bends down and rubs Nick’s hair.

"Wow. You’re strong to be so small."

He said starting to laugh a little. He then rubs his hand through his hair and says.

"well, I guess since we are all telling truths here. I have something to tell you. I have special powers too. Like you and Nickolas but other powers as well. You two are the only other people I have ever met that are similar to me. I think we are all special maybe in different ways. As you already know Rain I have two wolves. That’s because I am half Lycan. Just as I think the two of you are. I have researched it for a while now ever since I met Drau. The only blood lines of Lycan’s that had powers, was from the very first Lycan pack ever known. The Legend says a witch cursed the Lycan’s with a spell, they thought it would be their end. Instead it made them stronger, they were feared and the spell gave them abilities that’s would make them stronger than any other being on earth."

“So will we have two wolfs Nick says wide eyed”?

"I think you will Nickolas, I am not certain though as I don’t know much more than I have told you. When Agnes arrives I hope we all three will have answers to all of our questions.  Our biggest concern right now is to keep the both of you safe. There will not be a repeat of what happened last evening."

“Adrian will you stay with us Nick says I’m scared and I am afraid I can’t protect Wrain from the monsters all by myself”.

Adrian smiles, "of course I will stay with you."

As things quieted and we were all ready for bed Adrian moved over to the couch where he had made himself a bed. I missed him being close. I felt the emptiness start in my body as soon as he moved away. But I fought the feeling, too embarrassed to ask him to sleep in the bed with Nick and me. I close my eyes willing myself to go to sleep. I dream of the bayou. I could feel the hot air on my skin; I could smell the outdoors that I loved so much. I could hear animals in the distance I walk further into the bayou and I am at my old home. Where I grew up. I hear my mother talking I want to see her so much. I take off running as fast as I can, trying to just get a glimpse of my mother that I missed so much. I open the door and there she was standing in the front room looking at me as if she were as alive as I. She holds her hands out and I run into her arms breathing in my mother’s scent.

"I love you mom. Please don’t leave me again."

“Rain I need you to listen honey. I didn’t leave you. I will never leave you. You have to find me. Use your powers honey”.

"What? Mom your dead, how am I supposed to find you?"

“I am lost rain not dead find me. I am out of time. Remember I love you too rain”.

I woke taking in a breath like it was my first time having air, crying out for my mother. Adrian looked at me, concerned.

"Rain I’m here, you’re ok."

" No, Adrian. I have to go back to sleep, my mom is all I could say before the tears took over. She was there”.

"Honey, it was just a dream."

"No, she was there, Adrian. She asks me to find her”.

Adrian now looking at me concerned.

"Rain, are you telling me your mother came to you in your dream and told you she was alive?"

"Yes, I shake my head. I have to go back so she can tell me where”.

"It won’t work Rain. You saw a vision, not a dream. Trust me, I have them too. What I can’t figure out is how she could communicate with you."

I shrug. “I don’t know Adrian, that’s the first time this has ever happened to me. It was like I was really there with her. I could feel her. I could smell her”.

My tears start again as I can feel the emptiness of not having my mother. Adrian pulls me to his chest and Lets me snuggle close while he places sweet kisses on top of my head. I always feel better when I am close to him. I feel Nick stir; he sits up rubbing his little eyes, looking from me to Adrian.

Just then I hear Lucy at the door knocking saying "good morning."

As she doesn’t wait to for anyone to say come in. She looks at the three of us all lying on the bed together; me sandwiched between Adrian’s chest and Nickolas, smiling a big wide smile.

"Now that looks like a perfect family to me, she says."

I blush, Nick smiles and giggle’s and reaches for her to pick him.

"Ready for a new adventure buddy?"

“Yes, madam”, he says to her.

"Well, go get your butt dressed and dress warm were going hiking."

My eyes widen in fear... "Hiking? Um,"

I protest when I feel Adrian tighten his hold.

"Rain, Lucy and will protect him. She will let nothing bad happen to him, why don’t you tell him to use his powers if he feels threatened, that way it will reassure you he will be fine."

“I have always told Nick to never, ever use his powers. We hide them for a reason. The witches would have us executed, Adrian. They would even execute child if they thought he was a threat to the others”.

"Rain there is always threats. No matter if someone has powers they're not supposed to have or if it’s just a mad man going crazy and on a killing spree. I would rather him use his powers against threats than die because he is afraid to use his gift."

I nod in understanding and whisper to Nick to use his power if anything threatens him or Lucy.

"Use them only for protection Nick."

“Ok” He shakes his head in understanding and Adrian explains to Lucy about The two of being like him. She smiles and hugs me.

“I knew there was a reason the goddess brought you to us”.

Nickolas comes out of the bathroom dressed in the cutest snow suit Lucy had bought for him. It looks like a little wolf pup with silver fur and big blue eyes that matched his on the hood. He had brand new snow boots on and black paw gloves. I couldn’t help but give him a hug and laugh.

"Ok no being the big bad wolf if you need not be, OK?"

Nickolas shakes his head smiling and wiggles lose form my hold to go to Lucy. She smiles and says "ready?"

“Yes”; he says as they leave Adrian and I alone.

As soon as the door closes Adrian immediately pulls me to him in a tight embrace. He feels so warm. He smells like Life itself. I can’t even explain how his scent affects me. The more I take it in, the more entranced I become. I rub my hands up and down slowly on his chest. He freezes as I do, and I peek to look at his face. He is frozen his eyes go from piercing blue to solid black. He tightens his hold slightly, pulling my waist tight against the bulge that is now there, letting me know the effect I am having on him.

"I am scared, Adrian; I say without thinking. He breathes in a deep breath and says to me,

“I would never want you to be afraid to be with me. If you are not ready for this, we can stop”.

"But I don’t want to stop, I protest. I said I am scared not that I want to stop."

“How about we just take it minute by minute and happens that you are not comfortable with, I will stop?"

I shake my head in agreement. "I need to touch you rain. I need to feel you warm skin under my hands."

He says as he begins kissing and licking my neck where he will one day mark me as his. I feel a cold chill go all over my body at first, then it turns hot. I breathe harder and fell a wetness pool between my legs. Adrian breathes in deep through his nose as if he smells what he is doing to me. He bends to kiss me on my lips parting them slowly with his tongue begging for me to let him in. I do, and he deepens the kiss. I feel like someone has now set me on fire. I want him so badly and I don’t feel scared,

"Adrian please," I say through the assault he is have on my swollen lips. He pulls back and looks at me. I could almost see him losing control of himself. He Stands me up and slowly pulls my top over my head; I raise my hand to cover myself but he protests.

“Don’t”, is all he says. Pulling me back to him my chest touches against his electricity shoots through me and I almost lose my footing. He gently holds on to me as I sway with legs that now feel like jelly. I reach up to wrap my arms around his neck when he picks me up off the floor to lay me on the bed now pulling at my bottoms. I am laying there completely naked feeling like I need to cover my body, He steps back and just looks at me and I instantly feel exposed and start to panic/ what if he doesn’t like what he sees, I think to myself,

“Oh baby, I do like what  I see. Almost too much”

He says as he sits down beside my naked body. He tells me to close my eyes and relax. I do as I am told and I feel his hand begin to massage my breast.  Going from one to the other then as I am starting to move against his hand I feel his tongue start to circle one of my n*****s while his hand continues to massage the other. He does this till I am begging for more I want you Adrian now please I have never wanted anything more than this please don’t deny me now I plead. Adrian comes up for air just long enough to say

“in due time baby”.

Then back to his task at hand. My hands are now all over his back, in his hair, his face, I cannot control my body.  He slows his motion and I beg again, please! I feel his hand go lower rubbing just above my opening. He slows down to tantalizing speed then begins to slide his finger between the folds. Up and down, a groan escapes my lips. I feel my self begin to release when he slides his finger inside my opening while his tongue replaces his figure and I feel my body tense and build up a release. I beg for more not really knowing what to expect, but I knew I wanted it. I needed it. He gently holds me in place with one hand, while his tongue works its magic along with his slow tantalizing finger. I feel like I exploded into a million wonderful pieces. I scream his name as my body jerks in ecstasy and he hold me tighter as my body falls apart in his arms. I am instantly embarrassed when I realize what just happened and I try to hide my face because I know it is now blood red. He gently puts his hand on my chin and turns my face toward his. His eyes are now back to normal and he is smiling proudly. He kisses me once more and lies down beside me not saying a word. He just wraps me up in his arms and lets me fall fast asleep.
