She ended the call, and without wasting any time, I hurried back to my room. I needed to leave as quickly as possible. Frantically, I rummaged around my room, grabbing my bag and emptying it. With my bag in my hand, I rushed into the bathroom, grabbed my toothbrush and toothpaste, and threw them into my bag. I also went to my drawer and grabbed a hoodie, a pair of pants, and some underwear, flinging them into the bag before zipping it up. Taking a deep breath, I slipped on my brown sneakers and put my bag on my back. I tiptoed out of my room, making sure not to make a sound.
