"Hello!" I yelled, maneuvering my way down the dark hallway. "Who's here?" As I gazed around the dimly lit corridor, illuminated only by a flickering lamp hanging from the ceiling, I wondered how I ended up in this place. Walking on, I took long strides, but the hallway seemed never-ending. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed through the air, causing my heart to race. Someone was here. Who could it be? The footsteps grew louder and more urgent, making me look around, trying to pinpoint their source.
