I arrived downstairs, quickly scanning the living room for any sign of Dennis. Perhaps he was outside.
"Oh Sara," I called out, heading towards Sara who was coming in from outside. "Where is Dennis?"
"Alpha is out with some of the warriors searching for Molly," her face was etched with worry. "I'm so sorry, Miss Alice. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have left her alone."
Sara had left Molly alone in the living room when she heard a noise from outside the door. She went to check and saw nothing, but when she returned, Molly was already gone.
"It's not your fault, Sara," I reassured her with a sigh. "I shouldn't have left her alone in the first place."
