The sound of birds chipping and cool breeze of the night sent chills to the body of the children at the orphanage, outside the orphanage the breeze made a whooshing towards the tress. Down the road a lonely place to walk at night a place that many could not stay because of its dark and creepy history, although the orphanage is located there it has been a home for many children and a place of remarkable history for its excellent children who has been adopted and has been of great importance to the country as a strong house hold, the name of the orphanage rings bells among many and instill fears to more “THE LIGHT OPHANAGE”The cafeteria huge door opened wide with a blazing alarm indicating that food is ready 7 pm for supper, the age fourteen to seventeen children from each dorm rushed with mixed feelings directly to the cafeteria, not saying any word to each other.A very slim but scary nun know as CLAWS by the children stayed at the cafeteria door scanning at the children going inside the cafeteria with a sneer waiting for her next victim, to break one rule of hers.Unfortunately for Aria she fell victim of the nun, she had mistakenly stepped on her when she was rushing to enter the cafeteria, out of fright she knelt down pleading to the nun touching her legs with her shaking hands.Although no one has ever been lucky to get away with the punishment from the nun, but it seems luck was on Arias side today, the nun gave a creepy smile and told her to go, everyone in the cafeteria was shocked. Aria being confused refused and started begging even more for forgiveness. The nun sneered she did not have any pity for her she used her leg to kick her away only then did Aria stand up.Aria felt happy and went to get her food and sat down beside Ethan her friend, they had a way to communicate cause one of the rules of Nun claws was never to make noise, Ethan gave her a sorry look and looked away not wanting to get caught.In country v, the orphanage has been ranked as the best of its kind in the country for its way of taking care and building up good citizen to the country, although most of the citizens has been against the orphanage because of where it is located and the dark stories surrounding the existence of the orphanage but most of the leaders and activist has stood firm for the orphanage.At light orphanage the children at the cafeteria stood up all at once immediately Nun claw walked into the cafeteria, they returned their plates and gave a bow to her before going to their various dorm preparing for the evening mass. On this day the church having a special programme and everywhere being filled with lot of visitors both rich and poor gracing the event in the church. A moment of silent prayers by everyone in the church which lasted for an hour called the adoration , the priest came out singing “Amazing grace” which was later echoed by the congregation.After the Mass the aim of the today gathering was for some of the orphanage children to be adopted, the adoption is for all age regardless. The children went back to their dorm respectively getting dressed and eager to be adopted, Aria got to her dorm after parting ways with Ethan. The adoption of the light orphanage children only happens four times annually this was the second time for it this year, although Aria was excited, she was hopefully praying that any of her adoptive parent should also find interest in Ethan and adopt him too. When she got to her dorm her roommate lily hugged her tightly without saying a word and pecked her slightly, lily started the conversation cause she knows Aria will never start one , after talking about how they meet and how they became roommates all the years of hurdles with few joy , she kept on talking about their four years together and how they are both seventeen only a year before they leave the orphanage to the next one in another town when they are eighteen if they don’t get adopted.Although Aria did not want to cut her short she just sat down looking at her in blank space, luckily the bell rang lily stopped talking immediately and got up to dress likewise Aria everyone must get ready before the hall way nun comes although Nun Mary is sweet and all nice she has no power to save the student if they ever falls victim.Aria went to the hall for the event sat down beside lily and Ethan they all exchanged few glances with beaming smiles and held hands praying silently for the best. Just as how it has always been those ready to adopt them were inside the hall but they where at the front closer to the podium.After the prayer, the head of the nun the Mother superior gave a wonderful speech, then Nun Ava started calling names of the student any one of the adoptive parent will write the name down if they are willing to adopt any of the children and after the event they will submit the name and adoption progress will begin, it was a very long process it went on and on till that was all. Some of the children went to their various rooms, most of them packing their luggage with hope of been adopted. Aria, Ethan, Lily went to the back of the hall trying to talk about how they will all get in touch if they were lucky enough to be adopted, deep down Aria wish they could be adopted by the same adoptive parent. Along the long run they all agreed to meet at the country center pack five years later, they embrace eachothers and Ethan went to the male dorm while both Aria and lily went to their dorm.
