She opened her bleary eyes and saw a dark figure lurking over her bed. She tried to scream, but the figure clamped his hand over her mouth, muffling any sound she could make. Suddenly the room was filled with light and the figure became visible. Abbey saw that it was a man covered in dirt, grime, and blood. She tried to pull away from him, but he held her tight. "Don't fight me now," the man whispered. "I'm going to eat you." Abbey's heart pounded in her chest as she heard his words. She knew what cannibalism meant. She had heard stories of people eating other people but never thought that it would happen to her. The man took out a knife from his pocket and raised it above his head. Abbey instinctively closed her eyes. But the sound of flesh tearing apart from bone jolted her awake again. All around the town of Fragrant Plains, children were being eaten up by this gruesome monster who went house by house sucking them dry of all their blood and eating them alive. Parents locked their doors tightly at night and prayed for their children's safety as they heard screams coming from next door. One night as Abbey laid on her bed waiting for sleep she saw through a c***k on the wall how he broke inside every home with ease using a knife to cut off any lock or chain on front doors before entering each home. The thought of witnessing little girls like herself being eaten alive made Abbey's small heart race with terror. The entire town was under attack by this cannibal who had no mercy slaying everyone in sight creating an atmosphere of panic and horror that left everyone scared for their lives even during daytime where they stayed indoors out of fear for what lurked outside feeding. The cannibal was never caught. The town of Fragrant Plains was left in ruins, a ghost town now where only the memories of the horrific incidents lay as a reminder of the gruesome creature that had once roamed there. Abbey was never the same again. She had seen too much, experienced too much fear and horror. She lost all her hair due to stress she was never able to get over what happened to her, it made her life a living hell. Years went by and Abbey finally passed away, but memories of this terrifying monster lived on in the minds and storytelling of folks who could not believe their ears. Despite diligent investigation, they never found the cannibal who savaged through Fragrant Plains eating little children alive while they slept at night.
