Macy
The day of my 18th birthday as here, and I could not wait till the moon was full to meet my wolf. I could feel her all day. My head felt like there were bees buzzing around and I could not focus on anything anyone was saying. I had texted Micha and knew he would call me when he got a break or back to the bunks. He was halfway through basic and excited about everything they were learning. He told me he did not know how anyone without a wolf could hold up to the grilling days and nights of physical fitness.
Eden spent all day with me that day. She was still sad and could not get Micha out of her head. She ended up talking to her mom about it all, and she told her, that sometimes when we grow up close like that, our heart thinks of him as a brother and maybe, she was just feeling the loss of a family member. That is not it, since he was my brother and I still was not as heartbroken as she was. I think they could be mates, but we will have to wait and see when Eden turns 18 and Micha returns home.
The nighttime came, and I was so excited, I was being a brat to all my brothers and rushing them to the woods so I could meet my wolf. My dad talked me through the process and what to expect and told me there would be pain, but he would hold my hand the whole time. When it was time, my dad and brothers turned their backs on me to strip down to nothing. Wolfs don't mine being naked in front of others, but no, just no! I did not want to see them and they did not want to see me. Eden came with us and covered me in a blanket. As I sat there on the ground, my dad started talking me about what was going on. I could feel everything he was saying. He told me “ Just let your wolf take over, she will know what to do.” Michale had called Micha and told him it was time. He had to get to a place where no one was around so he could face-time the family. We could risk no one looking over his shoulder.
I could feel my dad’s hand on my hand and then suddenly the worst pain I have ever felt hit my body. It felt like every bone in my body was breaking and realigning to form my wolf. I could hear Micha on Michael's phone, softly talking me through the pain, just like all my other brothers. When the pain stopped, I looked down to my dad’s hand and saw a white paw. Marcu held up a mirror for me to see what I looked like. I was beautiful. Solid white with a little gray spot on my right ear. Then it happened. “Hello!” “Hey girl, I have been waiting my whole life to meet you, what is your name?” My name is Aria, I am so honored to be your wolf.” “Together we will do great things.”
I looked up to see my dad, brothers and Eden, all with a shocked look on their faces. I mean I know the legend of the white wolf, but have not put it all together.
The legend goes: When a white wolf was born, it was a direct descendant of the Moon Goddess herself. The white wolf would be powerful and strong and come when they are most needed. The white wolf would lead their people to victory and help save the lives of many.
I knew both of my parents were strong Alphas, I just never knew they were a direct descendant of the Moon Goddess. My dad was crying by the time I changed back to my human form. I could not figure out why he was so upset. “Dad, why are you crying?” “My Baby, I don’t know what I will do if you get hurt. What if something happens to you while you are fighting for the lives of everyone?” “Dad, I am sure that the Moon Goddess has a plan, put your faith in her. And by the way, how are we descendants of the Moon Goddess?” “ Your mother was a powerful Alpha wolf as well, her bloodline was pure and of the Moon Goddess. Of course, we know this could happen to our pups. If there was ever a need, I just thought I had more time or it missed us when all your brothers were not white wolfs.” “It’s okay dad, we will just need to start more training and do some research, we will get through this together.”
I could hear Micha in the background talking about how beautiful I was and all my brothers joined in. They were going on and on about it. I almost missed the moment Eden locked eyes on the phone, or should I say the man on the other end of the phone. Her face lit up like a Christmas tree and she was running to take the phone out of Michael's hand. She had not faced-timed Micha since he left and every time I did, she would be away. She was going on and on about all the stuff he was missing round here, and how she could not wait to see him before he left for Afghanistan.
Micha was quite on the other side and looked like he had stars in his eyes. ‘Something was definitely up with those two.’
