III 🌠 Clows

1081 Words
Ever since I woke up from my two-decade coma, I have realized that I was different from other people. I have a strong sense of intuition. I realized it was more potent than everyone else when I was about to go on a trip on a cruise ship with my girlfriend Aurora. I was supposed to go but then her friend who hates me was with her to join the trip. I got a gut feeling that the ship would sink and her friend would ruin the trip. As a result, I missed the trip and overslept instead of going. Thirty minutes after her trip started, Aurora texted me that something had happened. I thought that the ship was sinking but the reason was unexpected. The ship got into a brawl. Aurora was hiding in one of the cabinets in the kitchen. While hiding, she told me that the brawl started over a margarita drink and that’s the only information she knows. It’s stupid, humans are silly. “Hey,” Mikelle called me. I snapped to reality after remembering a situation, my head turned back to face him. “Where should we drop you off?” I paused for a moment, recalling where I should stop. “...At the hotel near the Clows,” I said to him. I saw a clows restaurant when I was still with Aurora in the car. I haven’t eaten for 6 hours and I’m craving Clows buffalo wings and ice cream. Also, I’ll book a hotel room to sleep for a while. “Seaside Hotel? We’re staying there,” Mikelle said with a questioning face, then smiled. I felt joy knowing that we'd be staying in the same hotel. I might also catch them drinking and join them if there’s an opportunity, but I doubt there’s no way that they’re drinking. Probably, they’ll be drinking in their hotel rooms. Damn, I’m thinking too much… After a 10-minute drive, we arrived at the seaside hotel. We all got out of the car. Mikelle helped me with my suitcase. He’s a real gentleman even though I didn’t ask for it. “Are you also staying here for a while?” he put his hands on his hips. “I’m going to sleep and I’m tired, a lot happened today like getting dumped in the middle of nowhere, mistakenly thinking a nice guy was a kidnapper because he got a van, and turns out he was an adult actor and there’s a lot of you in the van,” I sighed and chuckled softly. “My girlfriend wouldn’t believe me if I told her that,” I crossed my arms. “Girlfriend? Wow,” his eyes widened, and he smiled. “How about parents?” “Dead.” I casually said with a light smiling face. “Oh my- I’m so sorry I didn’t know!” he was shocked and kept apologizing. “I am so sorry!” “It’s fine, it’s not like I got attached to them or met them,” “Woah,” he exhaled his stress. “I won’t ask any more questions about…your um…parents,” “I’m not even offended,” I giggled lightly. “I’m not sensitive,” He looked around and saw his friends going straight to the hotel while the both of us stood there beside the van and chatting. “So…” he rubbed his hands together. “Is this a goodbye?” “I think so,” I looked around, then back at him. “Are you gonna film at the hotel? Is that even legal?” “Yeah…no,” he replied. “We’re done filming and we just wanted some sleep,” I grabbed my suitcase handle. “I’m going now. It was nice meeting you Mikelle,” I offered my hand. “Yeah you too,” he shook it. “By the way, can I have your number?” “Number?” I surprisingly asked. “Yeah sure,” I let go of my suitcase and opened my phone. I showed him my number and he typed it. He also gave his number to me. Mikelle’s phone was the latest Apple brand. I suppose doing adult shows makes an enormous amount of money. I walked away after exchanging numbers with Mikelle. I felt like he wanted to hang out more considering that he asked for my number. It's too bad I already have a girlfriend. Aurora didn’t break up with me and just left me out of nowhere. I don’t know if we’re still together. I’ll find out when I get home. “Welcome to Clows!” the female worker greeted me as I walked into the restaurant. Their workers are friendly as always. It’s a little bit crowded but not noisy like fast food chains. I enjoy their soft ambiance. Clows is like a middle-class restaurant trying to be expensive. I sat somewhere isolated from the people. I mainly enjoy being alone, but I don’t enjoy it to the point that there are no people. I want to be with people, not interact with people. The waiter came and asked me what I'd ordered. “Regular Buffalo wings, ube ice cream, and carbonara,” I replied. He wrote it down and left. My order came after 5 minutes. It was fast. I don’t mind it, I just want to eat. Food makes me not think too much. I first ate ice cream. I've been craving it since last week. I’ll eat the two later. Food is very comforting. Halfway to finishing the Ube ice cream, I saw Mikelle coming into the restaurant. He noticed me and waved. I smiled in response. I didn’t want to move too much while eating. He sat in front of me. “We will meet again,” I said. “What are you doing here?” I feel like he’s hitting on me. “My group and I wanted to invite you for a drink,” he responded. “If you don’t mind,” “Oh,” I scoff. “How’d you know I was here?” “Varden saw you entering the restaurant. Rosa wanted to drink and I thought that maybe you could…” he paused and looked in my eye romantically. “Join us.” No way he’s flirting with me? In front of me eating? He’s invading my space. There’s drink and I absolutely wanted to drink right now after what happened with Aurora. “Okay.”
