Unfortunately, sad to say, I tripled because of the slippery road and hit my head on the ground.
“OW! SH*T!” I shrieked.
This is the most agonizing sh** pain I felt in years, I hope I didn’t hit my head so badly…
I remembered that there was a man after me. I instantly got up while still holding my head, trying to soothe the pain from the fall. I tried to run fast but the dizziness took over and slowed me down.
“We’re not killers!” the guy after me shouted. “Are you worried about that?!”
I turned my back and saw him standing and raising his arms. However, I still can't see his face because of the car lights.
“How can I be so sure!?” I forced myself to shout although my head hurt and I felt like I was on the edge of passing out.
The guy was silent for a moment. I supposed he was thinking about what to say.
“W-we’re actors! We have the equipment inside!” he replied. “Please, I know you need help! We can’t leave you alone out here raining!”
F*ck this sh*t! I’m risking it! I’m not letting my a*s die in the cold out here…
“Okay…” I agreed.
The guy went back to the van. I saw him open an umbrella and walk towards me. The more he got closer to me, the more I saw his face. He’s a tall black man with braids wearing a cobalt blue sweater, sweatpants, and a pair of panda sneakers.
“Oh my…” he said when we locked eyes. He laughed lightly and covered me. “I-I’m sorry-you’re just really beautiful,”
“Wow, thank you…” I replied, feeling confused.
I ran to get my suitcase. We then both go to the van together.
I crossed my arms, shivering, feeling the cold.
“How long have you been out here?” he asks.
“Maybe an hour and 40 minutes, I didn’t track, but it felt like it” I responded.
We reached the van and he helped me get my suitcase in the van. I saw five people waiting for us. They were all shocked when they saw the two of us. Their eyes followed us when we entered the van. I sat in the middle row of the van beside the big-breasted redheaded white girl. The equipment was in the first row, so I didn't sit there. The van started to be driven by a bald white guy.
I can feel my seatmate, the redhead, staring at me.
“Why were you there? You could have been kidnapped,” she worriedly said. “You look beautiful and the kidnappers love that,”
“Rochelle, don’t look at her like that, you’re creeping her out,” the black guy from earlier said, sitting behind me. “Sorry for that, I'm Mikelle with no h,” he introduced himself.
I turned around to see him offering his hand to shake.
“Hi Mikelle,” I shook his hands and smiled. “I’m Crystal,”
“I'm so sorry about earlier, you’re stunning,” the redhead said. “I’m Rochelle Loves! Stage name, by the way, real name is Rochelle Ediths,” she smiled as a greeting.
“Let me introduce you to the group Crystal,” Mikelle said.
“The girl sitting in the back seat is Julienne,” he pointed, using his thumbs. I looked at the girl with platinum-long blonde hair and blue eyes, and we both smiled at each other.
“And then the older woman sitting beside her is Rosa.”
Rosa looks like the oldest among the girls, she has black wavy hair and green eyes.
“The guy sitting beside the two is Brade,” Mikelle pointed out. Brade smiled at me and waved his hands.
Brade has soft features, he’s a blonde white guy and looks like a young adult to me.
“Yo wassup, I’m June Ricks,” the guy sitting beside Mikelle offered his hands to clap. “I’m only 25, single, and I have no kids,” he happily said.
June has afro hair and he’s really handsome. He also has a muscular body, his eyes are dreamy, and he has a little mustache and a piercing on his nostril. I clap his hands. He’s cool and friendly.
Mikelle radiates nice but boring energy.
Brade looks like he’s a shy type.
Rosa is friendly. I can see in her eyes earlier that she's genuine.
Rochelle and Julienne look like they are about the same age. I think they’re also fun to be with, since I feel like they’re my age.
“What’s your guys' age by the way?” I asked them.
“I’m 35,” Rosa said.
“I’m 20,” Brade licks his lips. “I’m the youngest,”
“Rochelle is 22 and I’m 21”, Julienne added.
“And I’m 29!” Mikelle beamed.
“Ohh,” I responded. “I’m only 21,” I giggled softly, feeling nervous for some reason that I don’t know.
I felt the cold in me again. I started to quiver and my teeth began making noises when hitting each other.
“Here,” June grabbed something from his bag. “Jacket, you’ve been trembling,” he handed me a navy puffer jacket.
The jacket is a little too big for me, but it’s better than shivering.
I just realized that I was wearing denim shorts and a shirt. I was so distracted by the incident earlier until now that I forgot what I was wearing, and what do I look like now that I’m soaked in rain?
My mascara is probably running down right now and my makeup is all smudgy…
“Hey, Rochelle,” I called her and she looked at me. “What do I look like right now?”
Rochelle paused for a moment and observed me.
“Your short hair is soaked, you’re not wearing any makeup, your skin is clearer than mine, your…everything is fine, you’re really pretty!” she praises.
I felt like she praised me more than saying what I look like.
“Mirror, it’s a girl must have,” she handed me a pink compact mirror.
Opened and checked myself.
I just got my hair cut yesterday into a short-shoulder haircut. My nude lipstick stayed on, my mascara was gone but my eyeliner wasn’t, and my blush was also washed up by the rain.
She’s right. I was fine.
“So you guys are actors?” I asked. “What type of actors are you? Indie films? Students?”
“Well, we’re…” Mikelle said.
“We’re p*rn actors.” June straight up said.
“Oh!” I widened my eyes. “I thought you guys were students,”
“Yeah, it’s just weird for you…” Mikelle got embarrassed.
“N-No really! I’m just surprised that you guys are that type of actor. It must be hard to act.”
“Wait yeah I forgot!” he remembered something.
“I forgot to introduce our best actor,” he lay his hands on my shoulder. “He’s in the front, so yeah,”
I looked at the front seat and saw a person sitting there.
“Varden, he’s popular with the ladies on the internet,”
The rear-view mirror reflects his sharp dark eyes.
I felt alarmed, sensing that something was wrong with that guy.
I don’t think it’s the cold that only makes me shiver right now.
I shouldn’t be here.
