Cold winter air almost hitting my breath away as I walk along this snowy path. Houses decorated with Christmas lights; children's laughter heard from far away.

The feeling of love and affection fills the air yet I feel lonely. Coming across a path of rose petals leading to nowhere in particular.

Following the rose petals as they blow in the wind, they lead me to a house far away from the small village with no decorations or laughter, as I got closer to the house, I saw a girl sitting on the front porch with her head down. I tried to get as close as possible when I heard a twig snap, the sound echoing far in the still of night.

She heard the sound just as I did, slowly looking up with the most angelic eyes pools of pure electric blue, pools that would capture you and drown you.

Her eyes red cause of crying fresh tears running down her cheeks, fear known in them at the sound heard. Slowly she gets up looking all around her as if trying to see the danger that lurks in these woods.

Prologue
Prologue [14 Years earlier] [Him] Cold winter air almost hitting my breath away as I walk along this snowy path. Her eyes landed on me going wide as her little heart started beating faster, yet she didn't run her curiosity getting the best of her. Me now getting a good look at the fragile child on someone’s front door, with only a shredded dress and broken shoes. For some reason my cold heart hurt for the poor child on this cold night. She stepped into the snow one step after the other walking towards me and in a matter of seconds she was Infront of me looking up with bright blue eyes. "Who are you?" Her little voice asked. "Who are you?" I answered her question with one of my own. "Lilith." She answered with honesty. "You may call me Alex little one." I answered not wanting her to know my full name. "Are you the Half-moon God?" She asked surprising me. "Yes" I answered her question. "Are you my guardian?" She asked again. I didn't know what to say to this broken girl, I might not know her past nor future but I couldn't see her disappointed. For some reason my cold dead heart hurt for this little girl and I just couldn't see her like this. "Yes" I answered her again. I started taking off my black cloak putting it over her fragile body then saying. "No harm will come to you little angle I'll look after you" I said. "But for now, I have to go. I'll see you one day again." Without waiting for her answer, I was gone with the wind and a pained heart for leaving the little angel behind.
