Hazel POV
“Ready?” Skylar asked and I nodded. I gasped as I saw myself on the mirror. Not to brag but I looked beautiful. I wore my black lace dress. My hair was curled and pinned at the top. My makeup wasn't too much just a swipe of red lipstick with some eyeliner and mascara. A smile graced my face as I took in my appearance.
“I love you Skylar.”
“No problem and I love you too. Xavier has gone through a lot. Don’t leave him.” I nodded my head in assurance.
“It’s almost 7. Let’s go downstairs.” Skylar said while dragging me to the hall. I got down the stairs to see Xavier's back facing me. He turned around when he heard the clicking of my heels. His face lit up and I took the time to check him out. He was wearing tight jeans and a white tee with a black leather jacket and sneakers. He hair was perfectly tousled and he looked so handsome. He smirked knowing that I was checking him out and extended his hand for me.
“Ready?” He questioned as I placed my hand on his.We got in one of his black Mercedes. He put the key on ignition and the car roared to life.
“Where are we going?” He glanced at me and gave a mischievous smile.
“It's a surprise.” I am definitely not a patient person but I had to be patient now.
“You look beautiful.” I smiled and mumbled thanks in return.
Xavier POV
I can't believe that she agreed to go out with me. I feel ecstatic. Maybe we are going too fast but I don't care. I asked her out cause I really didn't want to lose someone like her. I wouldn’t be able to cope up with it. The sight of my parents dead still haunts me which is why I am what I am today. Cold, emotionless but she made me feel things that no one could make me feel. I wanna make her mine, protect her and always take care of her.
But there are so many things going on. I heard from Caleb that Darren is up to something which I still don't know. Recently, I had destroyed a g**g and let some of the men join my g**g. It’s leader was dead so they were willing to join mine. But they are under our watch incase they happen to betray us in any way. I hope Hazel doesn't get hurt from all these.
Max barged into my office breaking me from my train of thoughts.
“What the hell man!? You asked Hazel out and you didn't tell me.” He screamed at the top of his lungs . That's why I didn't want to tell it to him.
“I asked her today only.” I explained giving him a bored expression.
“You like her, right?” I nodded my head but didn't show any emotion.
“I am happy for you but don't break her heart.” He warmed and went out of the room. I asked her out but what am I going to do? I had no idea about dates. An idea popped in my head.
“Hello, Jace. I need you to do something.”
After telling Jace my plan, I checked the time and it was already 6:25.So I decided to go and get ready. I went to the hall after taking a shower and getting ready. I was typing a text on my phone when I heard the clicking of heels and saw Hazel standing at the end of the stairs looking as gorgeous as ever. She wore a black lace dress that went mid thigh and showed off her flawless legs and just the right amount of cleavage. I suddenly felt my little friend waking up and hardening at the sight. I inwardly cursed myself but maintained my cool and held out out my hand for her to hold.
“Ready?” I asked and she placed her hand on mine. They were soft compared to mine. She questioned just as we got into the car.
“Where are we going?” I gave her a mischievous smile.
“It’s a surprise.” She pouted and I really wanted to kiss her lips. But I hope she likes it. God, I have never been so nervous before. I hope I don’t mess it up.
Just as we reached our destination, I got out of the car and opened her door for her and held out my hand. She gladly took it and I intertwined our fingers. We went to the beach and I heard her gasp at the sight and look in my direction with a gorgeous smile.
“Do you like it?” I asked her becoming more nervous by each passing second.
“I don't like it.” I felt my heart shatter but what she said next made me relax up a bit.
“I love it.”
