Chapter Eight

Jae Hee's Pov

I woke up to the sunlight shining down on my face, I blinked my eyes open as I tried to adjust my vision.

Everything was white. The sunlight made it even harder for me to get a good look around.

I noticed someone's head on the side of the bed, I looked down to see who it was and was surprised to find Kai resting his head there.

I slowly sat up and rubbed my forehead, my headache was still there but it wasn't as painful as last night's. I reached out and gently shook Kai's arm to wake him up.

"Kai...."

Soon after he awoken and rubbed his eyes, I chuckled at how cute he was. This was my first time to see Kai's face after waking up. His fangirls would kill to see this.

"Jae Hee hyung, you're finally awake. How are you feeling?" He asked with a big smile.

I smiled back and nodded, "I feel much better, thanks. Why am I in the hospital?"

"You fainted after Luhan and Kyungsoo hyung was taken away by an ambulance. Do you remember what happened last night?"

Unfortunately I do, as much as I want to forget the event of last night I couldn't. I was 100% sober when it happened.

I nodded my head with a frown on my face, "Everything just happened so fast, I didn't even know what was going on."

He showed a small smiled as he stood up and patted my back, "You must have been really shock. The doctor said you can leave once you wake up."

"What about Luhan and Kyungsoo?"

"Kyungsoo hyung will be hospitalized until tomorrow. They said he was bitten by some kind of animal."

The bite mark.

I licked my lips and asked with concern, "And what about Luhan?"

He was taking an awfully long while to respond to my question which made me a bit suspicious of him.

After a moment of silence, he answered with a big smile on his face, "He was discharged earlier. I'm pretty sure he's at home right now."

I didn't even know I was holding my breath until I relaxed and sighed in relief. As much as I wanted to find out what in the world they were hiding from me, their well-being comes first.

"Come on, we'll continue this at home." He helped me to get up gently and we both walked out of the room with my arm around Kai's arm to support myself.

We had to sign the papers and pay the bills first before we could go, Kai did all the work and he told me the company had already paid for my hospital bills. I felt a bit guilty for getting the company involved.

Once everything was settled and the bills were paid, we walked out of the hospital and got into the RV parked right behind the building incase fans noticed us and start crowding around.

I couldn't wait to go home and see if Luhan was really okay.

We arrived back at the condo, the members were already gathered outside waiting for our arrival.

I smiled at them as soon as I got out of the RV.

"Jae Hee-ah!" Chen ran towards me and scooped me up into a big hug. I giggled at his cuteness.

He put me back down and squashed my cheeks until my lips were shaped like a fish.

"I'm glad you're okay. Do you know how worried I was!" Chen said in a high tone before releasing my cheeks.

"I'm sorry for making you guys worry about me," I bowed to them as an apology.

"Hey now, you don't have to apologize. None of it was your fault," Sehun put a hand on my shoulder and squeezed it softly. I smiled as he said that.

Tao popped out of no where and said, "Do you want to rest some more?"

I shook my head with a smile still on my face, "No. I had plenty of rest back at the hospital."

One by one, the members bombarded me with questions like asking if I was really okay or if I had eaten yet or if Kai did anything improper (?) There were all sorts of questions, I felt my head spinning but I was happy to know how worried they were.

I shifted my eyes away from the members and accidentally landed them on Luhan who was standing in the door way. He was watching us or should I say he was watching me.

But after seeing him with my own eyes, I felt relief washed over me, I was glad that he was okay. I was beginning to suspect that Kai might have lied to me about Luhan's condition.

And then I heard someone called my name, "Jae Hee-ah." I immediately had goosebumps all over my body, I hadn't realized that I was waiting for him and missed him until this moment.

I turned away from Luhan and came in face to face with Chanyeol who embraced me like a boyfriend who hadn't seen his girlfriend in weeks. My eyes started to sting and not long after, I unexpectedly found myself weeping in his arms.

I didn't care if the other members were watching us right now, I just needed to be in his arms, I felt safer in his arms for some reason like no harm would come my way as long as Chanyeol was here.

We had to let each other go eventually because the members were starting to complain, I laughed as I watched them attacking Chanyeol. Poor guy.

Then I noticed Suho wasn't here. He was always the first one to greet me in times like this so where was he now? I looked around but he was no where in sight.

"Hey, where did Suho hyung go?" I asked which caught the members attention.

"Oh, he went to go check up on Kyungsoo a couple of hours ago. It's his turn to look after the guy." Chen answered.

I nodded my head, "I see."

I didn't want to push it any further so I let it slide for now. We walked into the house together, I immediately fell down onto to the couch since I was really tired from everything.

There was nothing they could do, the members had to cook for themselves since the person in charge of cooking wasn't present at the moment.

I wasn't really hungry so I skipped lunch---

While I was practising for tomorrow's performance Luhan came into the practise room with a red Jersey on. The other members were out somewhere, doing god-knows-what.

Anyway, Luhan being in the same room as me made me lose all focus.

"Luhan-ah.. " I stopped whatever I was doing and looked at him.

"Keep on practising. Don't mind me." He leaned against the mirror with his arms crossed against his chest, he was watching me.

"Um, how are you? I didn't get the chance to ask you yesterday." I couldn't help feeling worried about him.

"I'm fine." That was all he said. I was thinking whether to ask something else to keep the conversation going or just let him be.

I calmed myself and asked, "What happened to you?"

He was silent for a while, this silence thingy was getting old---everybody did the same thing when I asked them questions.

"There are things you better off don't know." I could see the seriousness in his eyes, I gulped and felt fear creeping up but I didn't let it stop me from wanting to know more.

"What do you mean?"

He kept looking at me like he had something he wanted to tell me something but he just couldn't.

"You'll know when the time is right."

I didn't know why but my blood started to boil when he said that. I curled my hands into a fist and said in anger, "You know, it's already bad enough that you guys made me worry like hell and now you're saying that I'm in no position of knowing what the hell is going on?"

He widen his eyes in surprised but I just scoffed at him before continuing, "I'm apart of EXO too so I deserve to know the things that involves the people I am living with. I'm not just that member who has the dancing and singing skills. I'm also the member who deserves to know the truth about her members' lives. I'm not an outsider, I'm one of you guys... incase you still haven't got that into your head."

There was no way I could stay here now, not after saying what I said. I grabbed my backpack and walked out of the room leaving Luhan in there alone. I just hated being the only one who doesn't know what was going on.

I needed some time to think and to clear my head, staying away from the members for a while was the only option I could come up with.

Unless they tell me everything, I won't be talking to them.

That night, I stayed in my room the whole day, I didn't want to see the members because I might get angry again like I did with Luhan. Not gonna lie, part of me missed them already.

I sighed and buried my face in the pillow, I was frustrated and angry at the same time.

Chanyeol and Baekhyun didn't even come into the room once.

Did I went too far? Were they angry? Do they hate me now?

I had all sorts of questions popping inside my head, I knocked my head to stop myself from thinking too much.

I sighed once again, as if on cue someone knocked on the bedroom door. Finally, after waiting so long for someone to finally have the balls to talk to me. "Go away," I said harshly.

But the person was still knocking on the door.

"I said go away."

They were still knocking like OMG are you deaf?! I felt irritated as I got up from the bed and went to open the door.

"I said leave me al-" I stopped before I could finish my sentence.

"L-Luhan ah," I stuttered, my eyes grew wider.

The color of his eyes were different---they were the exact same colors as that tall guy and his two minions from before.

I'm not dreaming am I? Is he wearing contact lenses?

"You said you wanted to know the truth, right?" He stared at me without blinking. I reluctantly nodded my head----

"Then come with me. I'll show you."

My heartbeat was pounding really hard against my chest, I was afraid but at the same time I was eager to know what this secret they were so desperate to hide from me.

"Okay.." was all I managed to say at this point.

He suddenly grabbed hold of my wrist and dragged me outside of the condo.

"Hey, what are you doing?!" I had no choice but to follow him.

"You said you wanted to know so I'm showing you." He answered without sparing me a glance.

I stopped talking and let him take me to wherever he wanted to take me.

Luhan knelt down in front of me and pushed me up on his back, I let out a scream in surprised.

"Wait, just what in the world are you-"

I was cut off when he stood up and started running like a wild beast with an incredible speed.

"Ahhh!!" I kept screaming as he ran, passing trees from trees.

All I could see and feel were trees everywhere, we're definitely in the woods now----
