Jae Hee's Pov I couldn't believed what I'd just heard. Lee Soo Man was effin' crazy! It hasn't even been a day since I agreed to join and now he's thinking of introducing me to the whole world?! "This is crazy! You know that!" I lost control of my temper. "Calm down. It's not as bad as you think." Manager Lee tried to calm me down but I snapped at him. "Not as bad as I think!? I'm about to be exposed to the world! I haven't even learn the dance moves yet or know the lyrics of the songs. People will hate me before I even start my career." I was starting to lose my mind. Immediately, I felt regret washed over me; the regret of making this decision. "I don't agree to this either but it's what the boss wants so we can't do anything about it," he shrugged. Why did I agree to this monstrosity? I was an i***t! Not long after, EXO was called on stage, they shared curious stares at each other before going up on stage and grabbed a seat. Lee Soo Man joined them later. One of the reporter started attacking them with questions, "So what is the purpose of you arranging this interview?" The man's question led CEO-nim to a smile, "The reason why I arranged this meeting is to make an important announcement." "Important announcement?" The same man furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. A signal was sent to Manager Lee from CEO-nim. Upon receiving the signal, Manager Lee told me to go up on stage. I wasn't in the position to oppose even if I wanted to so instead of arguing, I reluctantly took heavy steps up on stage. As soon as I walked up on stage, everybody's eyes landed on me. They were taking pictures and videos one after the other. Some of them had a really confused expressions on their faces. My heart was pounding against my chest like a hurricane. Lee Soo Man got up from his seat and told me to take the seat next to him. It was an empty seat just for me. I swallowed hard and tried to force myself to smile at the reporters, I stood next to Lee Soo Man and gave a 90° bow to the reporters before taking a seat. The Exo members were confused as well. Kai, who was sitting beside me asked in a low whisper, "What's going on?" I shook my head, indicating that I had no part in this. Lee Soo Man continued, "As you can see, a new face has appeared before you. The reason why he's here today is because.." He looked at me with a smile and right then, I literally saw my future flashed before my eyes. He turned his attention back to the groups of reporters and said, "......he'll be the new face of the group." Lee Soo Man's announcement turned the whole room into an uproar, including the Exo members. "New face of the group? Can you be more specific?" A different reporter asked as he tried to put one and one together. Lee Soo Man didn't waste anymore time, he said with confidence, "Everybody, I would like you to meet EXO's 13th member, Jay." As soon as they heard I was the new member, they hungrily snapped pictures of me with very bright flashes. I looked at Suho who was sitting on Lee Soo Man's other side, he gave me an apologetic look, probably sorry I got mixed up in all of this. Though staring at him wouldn't make the problem go away so as I turned my head back to the reporters who greedily took pictures of me, I realized that my quiet life will change from this moment on. = = = After coming back to SM building, Lee Soo Man immediately threw a "Welcome party" for me who officially became EXO's 13th member. That night, SM building was crowded with VIPs and other idols from the same company. I should be honored and excited that these people would come to my party but somehow I didn't feel like partying. The overwhelming feeling was eating me up inside. I leaned against the wall and watched as the others partied. I wasn't much of a party girl anyway. Took a single voice to break me from my thoughts, "Enjoying the party?" A kind and gentle voice spoke into my ear. I turned around only to be greeted by Chanyeol's dashing smile, my heartbeat sped up from looking at his good looks. "Is the party too much for you?" he asked, concerned. "Um no, that's not it," I looked down at the floor, hiding the pink blush on my cheeks. ".....Is it because you're not comfortable with this kind of party?" "Well, you could say that but-" "But that's not it either," he cut me off and flashed another sweet smile. I was lost in the moment that I didn't realize somebody was staring at me, a chill went through every part of my body, I gave myself a tight hug and gazed across the room where I was locked eyes with someone leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. It was Luhan. "Hey, are you okay?" Chanyeol's face suddenly appeared in my vision. I immediately snapped back to reality. "Huh? What? Did you say something?" "I asked if you were okay.." "Oh, yeah...yeah, I'm okay," I laughed awkwardly. My eyes searched for that person again but he was no where in sight, like he just disappeared into thin air. "Jae hee-ah, if you ever need someone to talk to, you know you can always come to me right?" His kind gesture caught me by off guard, I wasn't expecting to hear this from him, especially since we just met. Have I really became one of them now? But everything was just an act, this was all so I could feed my family and have them lead a better life. I never planned for us to get attached, but why do I feel that attachment right now? "Park Chanyeol...." He was smiling with a cute dimple showing, I was actually amazed by how God managed to create such a beautiful creature, I was tongue-tied. I gulped as I felt nervous all of a sudden, "Um, Chanyeol-ah... I think I'm going to get some fresh air." "Where are you going?" "Don't worry, I promise I'll stay inside the building." I bowed then walked off in a hurry. I didn't want to stay there any longer, I felt incredibly awkward and lost for words. I felt the sooner I left the party, the better. One of the staffs told me the city of Seoul looked really beautiful at night if you look at it from a higher ground so she suggested the roof top. There were dozens of stairs I had to climb but I eventually reached the roof. The night air hit me at once when I stepped out of the building. I went over to the railing and gazed out on the city of Seoul, the staff was right; the view of the city from high above looked extremely breathtaking and the lights twinkling in the darkness made the city even more beautiful, my heart was calm as I enjoyed the view. But while I was admiring the view and enjoying the cool breeze, my moment of joy was interrupted with a loud bang coming from the other side of the roof. There was a wall splitting the roof into two parts. I carefully made my way over to that side and lean my ear closer, there was a sound of someone panting. I was really scared and my hands were trembling. Since it was really dark, I couldn't quite make out who the dark silhouettes belonged to. Even though I was really terrified, I found the courage to step closer and tried to get a good look at the silhouettes behind the wall. Each breath I took were heavy, and each step I took were light as a feather. I slowly stepped over to the other side of the roof but as soon as my foot touched the ground, a pair of strong arms pulled me back. Someone held me tightly against his broad chest and covered my mouth with his hand, the other hand wrapped around my waist. My heart skipped a beat at his touch. I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe properly and I couldn't look at the person covering my mouth, but what I did hear were voices from the other side of the wall. There were at least 3-4 voices and after the voices stopped, I heard continuous howling that sounded like they came from a pack of wolves. I was scared, not because I was held in a stranger's arm but because of the possibility that there were wolves here, close-by, and the only place I felt safe for some reason was in this person's arms. When the howling stopped, everything went quiet. The person released me from his gripped and I took this chance to immediately turned around to look at that person's face but since it was too dark, I could only see shadows of his figure and a pair of red bloody eyes. And all of a sudden without knowing why, someone's name came into my mind. Luhan. "Lu-" I was about to call his name but before I could, he ran to the edge of the roof in the speed of light and jumped over the railing, he was gone in a blink of an eye. I quickly ran to catch up to him but when I looked down over the railing, he was already gone. It was really strange... Why did I think he was Luhan of all people? = = = (Next day) I woke up to the sound of the alarm I set when I got back home last night, I was still half asleep. The reality of me becoming Exo's 13th member was surreal that for a moment there, I thought I was dreaming. I became the 13th member of the hottest boy band in Korea and I wasn't even a real boy. I walked to the mirror and looked at my boyish hair. They had cut it when they styled me up yesterday, I was starting to miss my long hair. I'd still have to wait 3 years to grow them back. *Sigh* I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth clean, after that I took a steamy shower to dry off yesterday's smell on me. When I was done taking the shower, I dried my hair and put on a white T-shirt matched with grey jeans, a blue jacket and the same cap I wore yesterday, Lastly, I put on my converse, grabbed my airphones and walked out of the house. Since today was my free day, I decided to go for a walk next to Hangang River, after what happened yesterday I really needed the fresh air. Yesterday was tiring but mostly weird because I was still creeped out by the howls on the roof and especially the person who held me against him. That red bloody eyes that pierced right through me as if he could see my very soul. But what was more weird was the fact that I thought of Luhan when I looked at those pair of eyes. Why? I was listening to a song on my earphones while thinking about yesterday when suddenly 2 girls blocked my path. I took off my earphones and stared at the two, confused by what was going on. "Annyeonghaseyo..." Both of them bowed and said at the same time. I bowed back awkwardly. "Could you be... Jay oppa?" the girl with the short hair asked as she blushed at the mentioned of my name. "Yes, that's me," I forced a smile. "Uwaaah! Eottokke?!" The girls started jumping around while clapping their hands like I was some kind of celebrity or something. "You're the new member of EXO,right?" the girl with the ponytail asked me. Oh yeah, now I remember. I am a celebrity. I was exposed to the whole world yesterday on live television. How could I forget? "Ah yeah, haha," I gave them a friendly smile, trying to act as friendly and polite as I possibly can. The girls screamed for the 100th times today. "Oppa!! We have become your number one fan!" The ponytailed girl gave me a thumbs up. "Waah oppa! You're so handsome!" screamed the short hair one. "Ahh, jinjja? Ahahaha." I laughed awkwardly, that's the second awkward laugh. "Jay oppa, can we take pictures with you?" Asked the ponytailed girl. "Uh, okay." I smiled as a gesture of politeness. They took about 3-4 pictures with me. Not gonna lie, I actually enjoyed it. They even asked for my autograph which I recently came up with yesterday together with Kris. He kept forcing me to create my own signature. You don't know how bossy he was but I was also glad because I wouldn't be able to give them an autograph without his help. "Fighting oppa!! We'll support you all the way!" they cheered me on with big smiles on their faces. "Okay, thank you," I bowed and watched as they took off. They were such nice girls. I was actually grateful to have fans like them but if it were occur again in the future, I might not know what to do the next time.
