Chapter Four

Jae Hee's Pov

After the long run, I took a quick rest on the bench when suddenly my phone started ringing.

[Me : Hello?]

[Suho : Oh, Jae Hee-ah...]

[Me : Huh? Suho oppa?]

[Suho : Yah..don't call me oppa from now on. You should start calling me hyung.]

[Me : Um, okay....hyung. Anyway, how did you get this number?]

[Suho : Lee Soo Man-nim gave it to me incase I needed to call you. I'm the leader after all]

[Me : I see. So, why are you calling me?]

[Suho : Actually, we're outside of your house right now.]

I coughed out the milk tea that I was drinking and gave light punches on my chest to calm myself down.

[Me : What? Why are you at my house?]

[Suho : We're here to pick you up]

[Me : O-okay, I'll be there in a jiffy. Don't go anywhere!]

I packed up my things and ran home as fast as I can. I couldn't risk anyone seeing them, my house would be up on the internet in no time and I'd have to deal with obsessive fans everyday.

Just the thought of it scared me to death---

"Suho hyung!" I stopped in front of Suho and catch my breath, I was panting really hard.

He smiled innocently as he stared at me, "You're here. That was fast haha," he laughed.

I had butterflies in my stomach everytime he laughed or smiled. He looked like an angel sent down from heaven to entertain me.

Wait, why does that sound so wrong?

I snapped back to reality when I realized there was a black rv parked in front of us.

"Are we going somewhere?"

"Get in the RV if you're curious."

I frowned as I looked at him, I was thinking whether to get in or not but in the end I didn't want to argue so I did as I was told.

The first person I saw when I opened the door was Kyungsoo who had a big smile on his face when he saw me.

"Annyeong, Jae Hee-ah," he waved.

I smiled back and said, "Annyeong, Kyungsoo hyung."

"You can call me D.O if you want."

I nodded my head and got into the RV, D.O scooted over to the side for me to sit, after that Suho got in and closed the door.

The rest of the members were sitting behind us. Chanyeol and Baekhyun were in the row behind our seat while Sehun and Kai sat behind Chanyeol and Baekhyun. It was a 3 row seats.

When I looked into the front mirror, I saw Luhan sitting in the passenger seat with his earphones plucked into his ears.

I hadn't noticed I was staring at him until he looked up into the mirror and locked eyes with mine. I was startled and immediately turned away and cleared my throat.

"So um, where are we going?" I asked to distract myself from what happened.

"Back to our dorm," said Suho.

"Wait, dorm?"

"Since you're part of Exo now, you have to come and live with us," said Baekhyun who was on his phone since earlier.

"And besides, it'll be more fun since you're here now," Chanyeol stared too deply into my eyes as he rested his cheek on the seat next to me. I swear I just saw my soul leaving my body.

"O-okay..." I blushed.

"I'm sorry for what happened yesterday, Jae hee-ah," Suho apologized, his sudden apology surprised me. I wasn't expecting an apology especially not from a kind-hearted guy like him.

"Why are you apologizing? You didn't do anything wrong." I tried to assure him by putting my hand on his shoulder.

"I wasn't able to do anything to help when you were exposed to the whole world." He looked at me with a very sad puppy eyes.

I smiled and said, "Even if you could do something about it, you'll only get yourself and your members in trouble. I'm not about to risk that. So in a way, I'm glad things turned out the way it did."

The side of his lips curved upwards, I'm glad he felt better. I couldn't bear to see him blaming himself for something that wasn't even his fault.

It had been so long since I was surrounded by people. It was always me, my mom, my dad and my little sister.

This feeling was different but nice at the same time. I felt more alive than I was before.

The drive to the dorm took about 30 minutes, and in that 30 minutes, I became closer to the members.

I got to know a lot of things about them that nobody knew, not even their fans.

Completely different from their perfect image on stage and on TV.

I got to know things like; Baekhyun couldn't sleep without his Pikachu pillow, Kai usually doesn't brush his teeth in the morning, Suho was a rich kid who owned a 5 star villa on a private island.

Chanyeol was afraid of lizards, especially the small ones, D.O destroyed the whole kitchen one time, Sehun loves leaving his dirty laundry in Suho's room and Luhan........

Well, Luhan didn't talk much, only when he needed to so I didn't get to know about him much.

He still felt distant and it felt like he didn't like me that much---like I was a disgusting insect that he needed to get rid of.

He probably thinks I don't belong here.

30 minutes later, we stopped in front of a medium-sized condo that had 2 storey and was located outside of town.

It was really beautiful, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. There seem to be a forest behind the condo and I don't think I want to explore there anytime soon.

Anyway, I was half expecting fangirls jumping around and shouting their names while carrying the members cardboard or banner but no fangirls detected.

"Does anybody know you guys live here?" I asked.

Suho looked at me and shook his head, "Nobody knows we live here. The only people who does is our manager, CEO-nim and some of the staffs."

"We can't exactly risk fangirls coming here and wreck havoc. It's the only time we can have peace and quiet," said D.O as he smiled and went into the condo.

I see. If fans knew where they were staying, things could get out of hand and that wasn't something they'd want since they were always busy and didn't have much time to rest.

The last person to step out of the RV was Luhan who still had his earphones in his ears. The other members came out of the house and greeted us especially me.

Lay went over to Luhan and talked about something that I couldn't quite hear. He walked right past me, didn't even blinked an eye at me.

Was I going nuts? How could I have thought that that person was Luhan?

I broke out of my thoughts when someone sling their arm around my neck, I turned around to see who was the culprit only to find Chen, the troll smiling at me.

"It's good to have you here, Jae Hee! Bet you can't resist us once you step foot inside the house," he smirked and I blushed from it.

How could he talk about something like that so casually?---

Someone came and knocked the sense out of Chen. "Yah, don't say things like that to Jae Hee. You'll freak her out."

I looked to my right and it was Xiumin pulling Chen's arm away from my neck.

Being the bratty little kid he was, Chen started messing around with Xiumin, and since Xiumin was a kind-hearted hyung, he let Chen do whatever he wanted, with an annoyed face of course---LOL.

They looked so cute together haha.

As soon as the members stepped into the house, they immediately went to do their own thing. D.O went into the kitchen to cook something.

I'm guessing he's in charged of cooking then?

Chanyeol suddenly picked up the guitar and started strumming while humming a tune, Kai kept dancing like a maniac in the middle of the room. Woah, he's pretty good.

I plopped onto the couch next to Sehun and sneaked a peek at Luhan who was still on his phone, he was sitting a bit further from Sehun.

Seriously, doesn't he ever talk? Geez---

"You're making me feel uncomfortable." I jumped in my seat, I did not expect him to talk.

Luhan put his phone down on his lap and looked at me with an irritated expression. Did he know I was staring at him? I didn't even realize Sehun went into his room.

"Huh? What do you mean?" I pretended not to know anything and shifted my gaze away.

"You were staring at me ever since we got here. What's up? Got anything to say?" He crossed his arms against his chest and stared at me, waiting for a response.

The situation was getting intense and I felt really embarrassed. I gulped and looked at the other members, fortunately they weren't paying attention to us.

They were too preoccupied with the tv. Did Luhan somehow knew the others weren't listening to us that was why he spoke to me?

Gosh, seriously Jae Hee. You gotta stop thinking like this---like he had supernatural abilities or something.

"Um no, it's nothing." I looked away and cleared my throat.

We stopped talking for a while and let the sound of the tv took over the whole room, but then he started talking again.

"Are you still surprised from yesterday?"

I quickly turned my head to look at him, my eyes went extremely wide. What did he mean? Shock from yesterday? Does he mean.......

"W-what...?" I stuttered, my hands were trembling.

He rolled his eyes, "I meant the party. I heard you weren't into parties so I figured you might be shocked from the sudden event."

Oh, so that was what he meant. Haha, you're so dumb, Lee Jae Hee.

"Ah yeah, that's true," I nodded my head, I had nothing else to say.

Although, to be honest? The party wasn't the one that shocked me the most.

"What did you think I meant when I asked you that?" he looked at me with curiosity.

I panicked, obviously I had nothing to say or to be more precised, I didn't know what to say.

Should I tell him what happened on the roof? No, He'll probably think I'm crazy.

I was about to asked him something when Tao suddenly came out of no where and took a seat in-between us.

Damn it this panda. That was the only chance I had to ask Luhan about last night.

I leaned forward a little since Tao was blocking my view and looked at Luhan but he wasn't paying attention to me anymore, he was looking at his phone. I guess my answer to his question didn't matter to him that much.

"Jae Hee-ah.." Suho came out of the room and called for me. I quickly got up from the seat and went over to him.

"Yes?" I answered.

"You're going to share rooms with Baekhyun and Chanyeol. Is that okay with you?"

I think I ate something and choked myself because I suddenly found myself coughing.

"What?" My eyes widen in shock.

Suho tilted his head a little as he studied me, I gulped and continued, "Um, can't I get a room of my own? I mean, I'm a girl after all." It took a whole lot of courage for me to say that especially to Suho.

He might be nicest person on Earth but he's also the scariest.

He sighed, "I thought of doing that at first, but we don't have a lot of rooms here. We can't have the guys cramped up in one room and sleeping in the living room isn't any good either. It gets pretty cold at night. So there's no other choice but to share rooms."

"I see. Okay then, I understand." I forced out a smile which he caught on but decided to let it go, he smiled and pat my shoulder, "Alright. You'll be sharing a room with Chanyeol and Baekhyun then."

He noted something down in his notebook before going back into the room.

Just the thought of sleeping in the same room with two gorgeous men scared me and made me nervous at the same time.

I wasn't very good with boys since I've never had boy-friends or a boyfriend before.

I sighed and turned around, my eyes landed on Luhan and it seemed like he heard our conversation.

The next day, Manager-nim drove us to SM building for a recording. I was told they needed to divide the parts again so I can have my own part to sing. We had to rearranged the dance positions too.

I felt like I was being a burden to everyone, they had to change everything because of me, because I had to feed my family.

Anyway, the nervous feeling wouldn't go away, I felt like running away for some reason.

We arrived in front of SM building and as expected, there were fangirls screaming outside. Don't they ever get tired?

I stepped out of the rv after Chanyeol and Kai, the fangirls screamed even louder, they were screaming our names, well the members mostly since I was still new to the group.

Anyway, when I was walking towards the building, a fangirl suddenly hold out something to me.

"Jay oppa! This is for you!" She shouted with a blush on her cheeks and a gift wrapped in a snowman wrapper in her hands.

I was surprised because I never thought anyone would give me something right after I was introduced as the new member. I thought they'd hate me for it.

I accepted the gift and bowed politely to her before going inside the building with a big smile on my face.

It felt really good to have someone giving you gifts like this. I gave the fan's gift to Manager-nim for safe keeping.

We were on our way to the recording studio when we bumped into Girls Generation's Jessica,Tiffany and Yoona.

I had no idea who they were before but I had to do my homework last night, it was a must-to-do thing as what stated by Suho.

We gave a polite bow to the sunbaes and greeted them with a smile. They greeted us with big smiles on their faces too.

"I heard you boys have a new member," Jessica said as she looked at us, searching for the new member aka me.

"Yes, that's right. Jay-ah.." Suho turned around and looked at me who was standing right at the back.

I stood next to Suho, he put his arm around my shoulder and said to the sunbaes with a smile, "This is our new member, Jay."

"Hello, my name is Jay. Nice to meet you," I made sure to bow politely with a big smile.

"Hi!" the three of them said at the same time.

"Oh my, you are so cute." The one named Yoona I think (?) complimented me. She's really pretty~~

My cheeks flushed as she gave me a compliment, "Thank you."

"May I know how old you are?" Said Tiffany, waiting for my answer.

"I'm 21 years old."

"Really? You're the hyung for Sehun and Kai then," she said in awe.

"Yes, but I don't know a thing or two about being a hyung. Haha," I laughed awkwardly.

"Don't worry! We'll teach you all you need to know about being a hyung," Chanyeol sling his arm around my shoulder and looked at me with a big smile.

"Yeah, Chanyeol is right. You should learn from the best which is me," Chen said proudly. I can practically see his nose growing longer.

"That's right. We'll always be here for you no matter what," said Suho as he looked down at me with a heartwhelming smile.

In all my life, I've never had friends friends like them before so this was something new to me.

I didn't know what to say or how to act, all I could do was show them the biggest smile I could master and said, "Thank you everyone. I really appreciate it," I held in the tears that were threatening to fall.

Maybe agreeing to this wasn't so bad after all.
