“Ms. Bailey is in Manhattan”
Rami informs me, as he gets the information I wanted.
And I sit back, a smile on my face.
The truth is, she knows what's happening.
She knows that I know what she's up to.
I mean did I ever think that Howard Bailey would not have told her his side of the truth?
Hell no.
He told her the truth.
Yet, she came back to me.
Either she loves me very dearly or just hates her father so much that she doesn't trust him.
Or maybe both.
I'm not certain.
Or it's the half-truth
“Sir.
Officer Terrance is here from the CBI”
Ramsey informs, as I button up my suit and I get on my step.
And the door opens
“Nice to see you Harrington”
Terrance nods at me, his eyes at the men in the room
