“So you never knew about the divorce papers filed by your wife?”
Officer Stella questions and I keep my eyes fixed on Terrance, who walks around my house.
A smile of pride like he won this round of battle.
“No”
I answer the question
“For a person who is mourning his wife's death, there is not even a small sign of her in this house.
Do you even remember her face?”
He comments, asking me the stupidest question ever.
How can I ever forget that face?
The look on her, when I told her I knew she was cheating on me.
The fear in her eyes when I told I would ruin her life for the betrayal she latched upon me.
I remember everything, even the fact that I never once had my heart, my soul want for her.
