CHAPTER SEVEN

A warm hand on her forehead, making Lisa awoke from her deep slumber. Slowly, she opened her eyes to look whose fingers on her face.
"Lisa! Are you awake already?"
Evelyn sounded worried as Lisa already opened her eyes. Lisa looked at her as she narrowed her eyes.
"What, what happened?"
Lisa asked weakly as her voice sounded slow. Her head was spinning, as she did not remember much about what happened earlier. Evelyn breathed a sigh of relief as Lisa seems okay and did not look sick like before.
"You are rolling around when I came back to fetch you a drink. The doctor said that you might have suffered some damage on your head, as you acted weird earlier."
Evelyn explained to Lisa about what happened during her unconsciousness. Suddenly, Evelyn noticed that, in Lisa's finger, it has a black ring, which she did not see it earlier, before bringing the water to Lisa.
"Lisa, where do you get that ring?"
Lisa, who was still dizzy, only listened to Evelyn, until she heard to the word ring.
She immediately responded to the word ring and turned to Evelyn with her eyes wide open.
She then stared at Evelyn. Evelyn gulped. Lisa now sounded like she wanted to throw a fist.
"Ring?"
Evelyn nodded.
"What ring?"
Evelyn felt scared with the tone Lisa used, as she sounded intimidating. She did not want to be rude, as Lisa used to be kind to her, so she decided to show the ring by pointing it only. She did not want to touch Lisa, as she sensed something is wrong.
"Um, on your index finger. Don't you noticed it?"
Lisa lifted her hands to see the ring that Evelyn mentioned to her. When she saw the ring, at first, she did not remember anything about it.
But then, suddenly, a ruthless memory flowed into her mind, entering her subconsciousness, one by one.
"Argh!!"
Lisa looked painful as she held her head tightly, which worried Evelyn when she saw her acting like that. Looking chaotic, Evelyn determined to call nurses around, to help Lisa, who was in pain.
"Nurse! Doctor! Anyone! Help!"
While Evelyn screamed for help, Lisa still in the state, where all the memory from before,
overflowing inside her head.
"Ugh! Hex! Lullaby! Ahh!"
Evelyn still cried for help, but when no one was coming around, she ran out from the room the seek for help.
"Ivy...Black spider!"
After a moment, some nurses and a doctor rushed into the room and watched Lisa, who is still in that disordered state.
"Doctor, please!"
Evelyn cried a little as she saw how awful Lisa looked, as her mind is going through something terrible. The doctor took out a syringe, filled with Diazepam Injection to calm Lisa down. Though the dose it quite strong, but it did not weaken Lisa any time sooner.
"Nurse! Hold her down!"
Few nurses tried to pin down Lisa on her bed, but relentless, Lisa managed to push them and continued to have her mental breakdown.
"Ugh! Arrgh!"
Evelyn looked at her with some concern feelings. She tried to calm Lisa down with her words, but the efforts were fruitless.
"Lisa, please! Calm down! I'm here for you. We here for you."

Suddenly, the word we kept repeating in Lisa's head, as it rang something with it.
We...meet...
The words keep repeating in Lisa's head, but she could not figure it out.
"What...what!!"
She screamed and rolled around, as she tried to recall where, or what she can remember from her darkest memory.
Evelyn now even scared with Lisa's condition that she decided to watch her from afar, worried Lisa might do something dangerous.
"Patient Lisa, please calm down! We don't want to use the dose again!"
One of the nurses spoke up with a louder voice, as she felt helpless, trying to pin Lisa down.
We meet again...
After a few struggles, everything became silent, as Lisa finally stopped fighting around. She stayed still on her bed, laying while her eyes shut close.
"Black Queen."
Lisa murmured the last words before she drifted into her sleep again. The doctor and nurses looked relief, while Evelyn sensed something off with Lisa, but as she told that to the doctor, none of them believed it.
"Miss Evelyn, I supposed the damages are not only affecting her bones, but also her brain. I think the reaction we saw earlier, was pretty much a normal reaction, from someone who had that kind of impact from their fall."
Evelyn knew something is off with Lisa, but since she was not the expert in the field, she listened to the doctor anyway. The doctor told Evelyn to let Lisa rest for that day, so he suggested to Evelyn to return home, and let the hospital taken care of Lisa. Evelyn hesitated at first, as she wanted to take care of Lisa, who she thought like her own sister already. But recalling how Lisa acted earlier, she decided to go with the doctor's suggestion.
All the doctor and nurses had already left the room, leaving behind Evelyn and the sleeping Lisa. Before Evelyn left, she took a moment to look back at the black ring on Lisa's finger. She somehow cannot shake off the feeling about that ominous ring, which suddenly appeared on Lisa's hand, after she left her to get a drinking water.
She looked at Lisa, one last time before she left.
"Lisa, please be okay."
After that, Lisa was alone in the room.
But not really alone.
"Have you saw that? Wow, she really acted like a lunatic!"
"Is she really our Queen? She might be overpowered and destroy us later if she found out about us! I'm scared~ Help me!"
"It's your fault for playing with her."
"Eek!"
The three voices, which linger around in the same room as Lisa,
watching her silently on some dimension other than hers.
"But I really wanted to know the extent to her power."
"I don't want to get involved anymore!"
"Don't be such a baby! But if you don't want to, leave that to me! I want to show her my full strength!"
"Not now. Soon, I promise."
"Aw, shuck!"
"But later, you will have the chance."
"Oh, yeah!"
"For now, let leave her alone. I'm sure she had enough in her bag for now."
After their long conversation, the three silhouettes left the room and leaving Lisa alone.
At the same time...
Three figures entered a hidden lair, far inside the black forest. As they finally reached to the centre of the room, they kneeled down, to respect.
"My Lord."
A shadow, standing in front of them, having it back facing the three figures realizes their arrival.
"Ah, Phantom Whisperer. I assume you have something for me, as you dare to return to the lair. Now, share with me your delightful story. You know the consequence if I'm not satisfied with it."
Phantom Whisperer, Lullaby, Hex and Ivy.
Three of them are still kneeling in front of the shadow, waiting for any of them to speak. Lullaby already has fear, crawling inside her, while Hex gulped in fear. Both of them are waiting for Ivy to speak up, as she always takes charge in the trio.
"Yes, my Lord. I do, but forgive me if you found it can bore you. We already found a...fitting suitor for the Black Queen. The ring has chosen her."
Listening to Ivy's story, the shadow quickly took an interest in it and facing them.
"And, have you seen her power? Is she capable to...the throne? Is she fitting for the supreme order?"
Ivy, still kneeling on the ground, uplifted her face to the shadow, with an evil smile on her face.
"Yes, she is capable of it, or even more, as she only uses the tiny per cent of her raw power, I suppose."
Suddenly, the shadow looked unsatisfied with Ivy's explanation.
"You suppose? Am I detect an unsure answer from your tone?"
Suddenly, both Lullaby and Hex looked even more terrified when they heard a slight change in the shadow's voice, as it was about to do something dangerous. Even so, Ivy remained calm and collected, as she knew how to handle it.
"I'm sorry, my Lord, but for now, as what we saw in her, she is far more superior than the selected Queen before. None of those Queens can make the ring came to them, except this new suitor. I'm assuming that this new Queen has some promising qualities in her. Please forgive our inadvertence."
The shadow then looked calm as before, which made both Lullaby and Hex relief.
"Do you say the ring suddenly appeared and came to her?"
The shadow asked again, out of curiosity, as it was its first time to hear something tremendous like that can happen in the first time of its life. Ivy still looked calm with a smile on her face, feeling proud to deliver such news to the shadow.
"Yes, my Lord. That is why I believed that she will make a perfect...no, a powerful, perfect Queen, Black Queen, for the throne."
The shadow smirked, as it finally it amusing.
Sooner, he gave out the most hysterical laugh that echoed in the room, as it already found what it desired the most.
"Finally, I can rest in peace, knowing the throne will be taken care of something more powerful than I am. Good. Now, I command you three to watch this new Queen, closer than you can be, and grow her until she becomes our malicious fruit."
Ivy, Lullaby and Hex immediately replied to the shadow.
"Yes, my Lord."
After hearing to the Phantom Whisperer, the shadow slowly disappears from their eyes, forever.
"Remember. Serve your Queen, and you shall taste the victory."
The Phantom Whisperer finally stood up and heading out for their new mission.
