“Lucas, you have to take control over Rex.” His father sighed heavenly, his voice filled with anguish after failing to calm Rex. He was locked in the basement. 'Need her, have to go to her? You've let that filthy rogue take her.'
Rex was trying to break the door down, he wasn't concerned with being burned by silver that was laced into the door.
The Luna swallowed hard and a bit back the tears. “Rachel, you need to talk to him and let him see you. Only then will he calm down?” she was coaxing, Rachel who was too eager to go to him. She was secretly in love with him and, like the others, she believed he was her mate. “Yes, Luna.” They made their way to the basement, when they walked in, they could hear him. He was feral, he was growling so loud and banging against the door.
Rachel tried to be brave and comfort Luna. “Please safe your mate.” she pleaded.
'Rex, we need to calm down.' 'No, you fucken i***t, you lost my mate.' 'I didn't she…' he was cut off by Rex who was furious 'You did, you left her. She must think I rejected her' he whimpered when he said that. 'While you were holding that useless w***e my mate was left….' he was growling at Lucas 'Rex she's not a w***e and I never rejected your mate.' Rex sneered at him, 'I warned you…. Lucas was starting to panic, 'Rex, listen to me I…. Rex !' Rex didn't answer, it's like he put up a block. 'Rex, you'll calm down and talk to me.'
He felt someone touching him, calling his name. When he looked up, he saw Rachel, she was smiling down at him. He stared at her for a while. “Let's go upstairs and get you cleaned up. ” He got up and followed her.
“oh you see honey, I was right.” Tracey was over the moon, she had a wide smile on her face.
Eric, on the other hand, saw something was off, but he pushed it out of his head and followed them.

Jessie was back to her old self since Rex went silent. She was fighting in the pit and she was unbeatable. Mickie was very proud of her and as a reward, he took them shopping. They were at the mall on no man's land. She was laughing at his jokes. “Cut it out, you two,” her mother scolded them with a sly smile. Mickie pulled her cap over her eyes. “Hey, you're cheating.” he laughed.
“Let's get something to eat, I'm starving.”
Jessie saw Mickie smelling the air and looking at her. She smelled them way before Mickie did. There was a group of rogue wolves who were pushing and taunting people. “Let's go, Jessie.” He had his hand on her arm steering her into the restaurant.
Her mother was waving to them, she had already sat at the table.
They were looking through the menu when she looked up and saw those rogues. They sat in the booth across them. She gave the order to the waitress. “Honey, is that all.” She nodded her head, “Yes, Mom.” She smiled and looked at her phone. Mickie and her mother were having a conversation of their own.
Just then, another group of wolves came in who were throwing their power around. It was Mark with three other warriors, one was the cousin of Lucas.
Jessie looked at Mickie, “It's getting crowded in here.” He nodded his head. “I don't like the looks of those men.” her mother said under her breath. “Maybe we should leave.” Jessie sighed and touched her mother's hand, “No need to worry Mom, Mickie is here to protect us.” She relaxed a bit.
The rogues were making remarks at Mark's group. Jessie was watching them with amusement. “Guys and their egos, so boring.” she rolled her eyes. Her mother put her hand over Jessie's mouth. “Jessie, please don't go looking for trouble.” she saw how anxious her mother was, and she kissed her, “Sorry.” Mickie looked at his girls and smiled. They were eating when she felt eyes on her. When she looked up to see who it was, she saw Andrew, Lucas's cousin, staring at her. He was a playboy, and he was into human women. He looked like the male model with his dazzling smile and those bedroom eyes. That makes women want to have his baby. Jessie wasn't impressed with him and looked away, eating her food.
