Wereschool

I shake off the feeling and glance back to where I saw the mysterious figure and they are gone. I blink several times to clear my senses and look at the forest. “Woah this place is massive. And look how big the forest is. Can I go for a run later? Please Jo!” Luna asked. “Of course Luna! We will do so as soon as we get settled in. We can go explore without having to hide ourselves from everyone.” I say to Luna. It will be nice to be myself fully here. We don’t have to hide who we are from everyone. We can simply be wolves—well, half wolves. It will be nice to meet some other wolves than just my dad's wolf. Don’t get me wrong; I love my dad, but Luna needs to socialize with other wolves, not just Dad. I kiss mom on the cheek quickly and hop out. I don’t want her to get too emotional on me. I start looking around at everything in awe. I never knew Wereschool could be so much bigger than public school. You would think someone of royalty lived here. I spot a group of were girls fighting for attention for a guy. Wow, this is the same thing that happens in public school. The guy must think so highly of himself. But dang, do his muscles stick out of his black shirt he’s wearing. His piercing green eyes stare right at me. Now that’s different. He looks so focused on me. I bet he would be killer in bed. Him on top of me, looking at me like he is now. He leans down to kiss my lips and I grab a handful of his black hair. Pulling him to me, desperately trying to close the distance between us. I start to blush when he looks at me with a smirk. Like he knows where my thoughts are going to. He turns his head to the side with an eyebrow raised like he’s curious of me. I shake my head and look away. I convince myself it’s because he doesn’t recognize me. I put on a smile and raise my head high. I start walking when it feels like someone is still watching me. I turn to take a quick peek back in his direction and misjudged the stairs, causing myself to trip and spill my coffee all over my black shirt. Leaving it soaked from the rest of the coffee I didn’t get to drink. Great. That’s one way to make a first impression. I start hearing the girls that were falling at his feet laughing at me. Just great, I’m gonna be the laughing stock of the school. I sigh and keep making my way inside. I enter the office and get registered for school, and they direct me to where my dorm is. In Wereschool, you have to stay here, you can’t just go home at the end of the day like you do in public school. Which is something else that is different and weird. I start walking to my dorm with my head down. Not wanting to look people in the eyes with my shirt being soaked from coffee. Looking like a complete fool. “You are such a clumsy person to be a werewolf.” Luna says. I laugh. “I can’t help I have two left feet.” Luna just laughs and goes to lay in the back of my mind. She lays down and sighs. I think she likes being around so many other wolves. I walk in the room and see a small, petite girl with a short black pixie haircut sitting on a fluffy rug reading a book. She’s wearing a flowery pink sundress. Something my mom would like to see me in more. “Hi I’m Jo.”I say hopefully not to scare her. She just looks up and smiles. “Hi Jo, I’m Stella! Is Jo short for something? I would hate having a boy's name. Just imagine everything thinking you are a boy, but you are a girl. Sheesh I wouldn’t want that. Oh no, what happened to your shirt?” “Oh wow, this girl is straight forward. I like her.” Luna says laughing. Laughing “Nice to meet you Stella. It’s short for Jozette but I don’t like being called Jozette so I go by Jo. I don’t mind people thinking I’m a boy, maybe they won’t mess with me as much. Oh, I have two left feet and tripped up with stairs and spilled my coffee all over my shirt. Sucks about my coffee though.” She is staring at me like she waiting on me to change in front of her. I shift on my feet uncomfortably. I’m not used to people watching me get dressed and undressed. We had stalls we could go into at the public school to change. I heard dad say it’s pretty common to see people undress so they can shift into their wolf. Thinking to myself, this will be something to get used to, I guess going to Wereschool. She tilts her head confused. “Are you a transfer student? I haven’t seen you before. I grew up around here. My dad is the beta to the Shiningmoon pack that’s nearby. So I know all the wolves around here and never saw you before.” I turn around to get undressed quickly so I don’t have to face her when I tell her some of my background. I don’t know why but I just got very self conscious about my background. Sighing might as well get it over with. “Well, my parents sent me to human school until now. My dad is a wolf, but my mom is um not a wolf. So we don’t live in a pack.” Turning around to face her when I say the last part in a whisper, hoping she wouldn’t hear. But being werewolves we can easily hear. She gasped and her eyes widened. “Your dad went rogue and left his pack?! You telling me that you are a half breed?! I did not know wolves could even mate with humans anymore. It’s not very common. Do you have a wolf?” She yelled the last part. I guess she shocked herself with that and smiled lightly. Oh yeah, she is straight forward and to the point. My face starts turning bright red and burning. Luna growls in my head. “Relax, Luna, she’s just curious and asking questions. If we can’t even handle her, how can we handle everyone else we meet that asks the same thing if they find out.” She calms down a little and sits down cautiously with her ears perked up and huffs. I just roll my eyes at her. “Haha I do have a wolf. I guess I couldn’t come here if I didn’t.” I say rubbing my neck nervously. “I guess my dad did go rogue. He had told me he left on good terms and that he visits from time to time. I guess everyone didn’t want to be around a human. It’s not very common, is it to be mated to another species?” Chuckling to myself. All of a sudden an image of fangs from my dreams pops into my head. What the f*** was that. I shake my head and return my attention to Stella. She smiles sweetly. “Oh wow, you are gonna rile up some feathers around here. You know how werewolves can be. We are very territorial.” She chuckles. “Or maybe you don’t know without being around other wolves. This is gonna be some fun.” She smiles like she has an evil plan. Haha I definitely like her.
