Flashes of war, blood, war cries, sword slashing, stabbing , slashing.......JASON....JASON (The old teacher yells for two or three more repetitions )... George -" You have been saying this since the start of your classes, what heavy work do you do that you sleep so much, focus in the class, this is your final year of school, concentrate more on your studies and sleep Early at night", Jason- "OK sir, sorry sir". George -" Sit down and note down what I am teaching ". After some time the bell rings. Jason comes out of the class room among other students.. Walks out of the school thinking about the dream he had in the classroom, after walking for sometime he reaches home, gets into his room and starts using his smartphone, and starts listening to songs after plugging in his phone, while using the phone he wonders –"What life am I living? is my life even worth living? I wake up every morning , then go to school to study and what I am studying is not even of any use to me, I am just doing cause my parents told so, I don't find any use of whatever is taught in the school but it is necessary to pass my schooling, then I will have to do a job that too without my own will... Just doing things which are not according to your will but you still have to do them in order to live your life in this world. What a crappy life... But isn't it same for most of the people, people who do jobs, putting a lot of work to earn some money and live their life.... People now don't have much self esteem as they used to in the old times .. They have lost their willpower, courage and self-respect. They just do what they have to without thinking about what they want but rather they think about what is needed . Their purpose now is only to live till they die and be above some of their relatives or neighbors, they don't even have a bigger goal in their life. Today people are living in a constant state of comparison....People say that rules are needed for civilization. But in reality the rules are only for people who are weak in wealth, Rich people can twist or turn rules at their will. So what is the need of rules then...Rather than people of today, people in the old era had better life than us, during the times of war, they had to risk their lives on the front line, at that time strength meant physical strength not the strength of how many people you have or how much wealth you have, now some people might say that even kings needed a big army and lots of money to be considered powerful, at that time people had their pride and courage, youngsters at the age of 16 were made ready to sent into war. I am talking about the period when people fought with swords and spears rather than guns, they confronted the enemy and fought while looking in each other's eyes, none showing a hint of fear, sounds of swords clashing echoed during that time, rather than taking cover and firing bullets at far, they confronted the enemy and fought ruthlessly.. That's the time I like the most, I wish I could also die while fighting on the battle field rather than just dying with old age or because of some disease. I would like to live only few days rather than living years doing something you don't like to do but still you have to, I would rather kill or be killed by the enemy on the battle field with a sword. That would be a proud death for me and less boring than the life I am living now". Alarm rings 8:00 pm showing on the alarm clock "Ah s**t it's already 8:00, I had to complete my part of the project by now so that I could discuss it with my other team mates . The Phone vibrates ,The name Oliver shows up on the screen – Jason-" Oh now he is calling too (picks up the phone) Hello, Oliver ah sorry but I haven't done my part yet, can I get some more time.. Yaa I know that the due date is day after tomorrow, I promise I will complete it before 11 tonight, .... Yeah... Yeah I will compile it too.. Yeah sure I will do that.. Thanks and sorry (Oliver ends the call)... Anyways now we have to do work till 11..Aaah dammit I hate my life, but what can I do, I will just have to live my life as it is.." Jason goes to his desk and starts writing.. Time flashes and Jason dozes off while working on the project. [morning alarm clock sound fills the room] Jason picks the clock and sees the time and it is 7:00 AM ,he is late for his school... "AH SHIT.. ". Jason was late for school and started to get ready in a hurry , he went to the bathroom ,brushed his teeth and washed his face . He enters his room and searches his room for towel to dry off his face. Dammit now where did I put it? Ah! It must be in the balcony. Jason draws the curtain of his room to the balcony and finds his towel hanging on the railing. He reaches the towel and starts wiping his face in a fast and hurried manner ,but when he opens his eyes, he sees a message screen in front of him and it read "Emergency Notice!". Jason – "Great ,now I am even hallucinating weird stuffs. These comics have spoiled me beyond repair", Jason waves his hand at the message and his hand passes through the message but the message still stays there. Then suddenly he hears a car crashing and the driver of the car gets out and shouts - "What is this in front of me?" ,a woman nearby also shouts "AM I THE ONLY ONE SEEING THIS". Then a sudden realization hits Jason and he realizes that he is not the only one who is seeing this message . Is this real? ,Jason has read many comics which had a similar start before the world changes into a fantasy world ,a sudden excitement fills up his body with adrenaline and out of reflex he shouts "OPEN MESSAGE" . The Message screen opens a window and the contents were –** Hello Earthlings! I am Admin 013 and am in charge of the TUTORIAL which is soon going to be held. The UNIVERSE has thought of changing your world due to some reasons, the important part that you need to understand is that this is not a prank and you all are not hallucinating ,so please take the contents of this message seriously. The TUTORIAL will decide who will survive as the population of your planet is too much and this is only regarding the Humans ,the animals will go through some different changes which will be revealed later on . The TUTORIAL will start in 1 hour of your time unit . The TUTORIAL will be based on surviving and you will have to survive for 12 hours. You will be provided basic equipment through an Agent, you just have to shout Agent and you can ask them for your equipment, you can also ask them regarding any information. This is all from my side ,good luck to you all and BE PREPAIRED...EARTHLINGS** Jason pinches himself to see if he isn't dreaming, he hurries down the stairs and goes to his younger brother's room. After his parents death he has been taking care of his younger brother and their monthly expenses were provided by the government pension ,as his father was a officer. His brother was 16 years old ,two year younger than him. Jason - "Arden are you seeing a message screen too ?" , Arden was staying home today as it was a function at school and he did not liked socializing and attending functions . Arden - "Umm.. Yes bro but is this even real? , are we dreaming?" ,Jason – "And I would be in your dream too? For god sake use your brain sometimes" Arden-" ha-ha , sorry bro .Now then what should I do ? It says that a tutorial is going to start soon and we have to choose a weapon" Jason – "Yes I know let's check the equipment they are providing first, call your agent" Arden "okay bro ,AGENT". Soon an energy starts materializing into a being in front of the brothers and a leopard appears and starts talking - "Hello Arden, how may I help you?" Arden-"I..It..It spoke, bro the leopard is speaking " Jason-"Is that even surprising at this point ? common just ask about the equipment " Arden-"Yeah right , Agent I want equipment for the tutorial " Leopard – "You can call me Leo from now on ,and here is the list of equipment you can chose as a beginner " , a screen similar to a shopping website opens up in front of Arden with various items ,their information and price. Some items were priced for some amount of gilds and some were marked free . Arden with a confused look – "What is a gild Leo ?" Leo-"A gild is a coin or currency used by the system for trading and other purposes and can be achieved through achievements or missions, currently you posses 0 gild and can only select the free items. The number of free items you can select is 10 " Jason – "What are you guys talking about ?I can't see a thing " Leo-"Only the user can see their system window ,if you want to see other person's screen , the required person must allow you through their system" Arden " System allow my big bro to see the screen too " Now Jason was able to see the same information as his brother. The store consisted of rations, weapons, clothes, armors and many other things which may come in use. He told his brother to choose a weapon, a set of armor and take rations from the store and went to the living room to take items for his own self. He shouts agent and a serpent appears in front of his eyes, Jason – "Why are you a serpent? " Serpent-"We are spirits and take form according to the user's mind and desires, my name is Sera" Jason-"uh okay, Sera show me the store" Sera "as you wish" the store screen shows up and Jason starts selecting the free items. Jason looked at the store and saw a sword ,he read the description- **A basic sword made of steel ,Rank (E) , attack damage (10) ** Jason-"Sera , this sword doesn't look that special ,how does it differ from a man made sword ?" Sera – "The items are generally divided into 6 ranks E,D,C,B,A,S ,E being the lowest and S the highest, your human weapons are at level E ,this sword is just about the same level as a man made sword" Jason-"So does that mean other man made weapons can be used in the tutorial too?" Sera-"Yes ,not only weapons but also any other objects can be used in the tutorial too" Jason thought for some minute and then asked –"How can I know the stats of any other object which is not provided by the system?" Sera-"You just have to put the item which you want to check in your inventory and then you will be able to check that item's stats too" Jason-"I have a inventory too ?",Sera nodded in agreement. Jason called out "Inventory" and a inventory screen like in games appeared in front of him and at the bottom it was written **0/20**. Jason-"I can store only 20 items?". Sera-"Yes ,at level 1 you can only store 20 items, the storage increases by 10 for every 10 levels, the next upgrade of your inventory will be at level 10". Jason decided to only take a sword from the shop and for the rest of his 9 items he decided to take various protective gear. He then went to his kitchen and took all the kitchen knife and arranged them by their size ,he went to the fridge and took fruits, 2 packs of bread and 5 water bottles. He then had a thought "will the fruits be categorized as various different items or as a whole" thinking this he put the bag of fruits in his inventory slot and found out that it was only filling 1 slot of his inventory, the same was with the packs of bread and the water bottles but the kitchen knives took 1 place each as they were of different size each. He read the description of the kitchen knives **A Knife used for cooking but can also be used to kill ,Rank (E) ,attack damage (5) ,Special effect : When used for cooking their will be a bonus effect (agility+1)**. The description of the tool was same but -the attack damage varied according to their size ranging from 3 to 6. Jason-"What is this special effect ?". Sera-"Oh you are quite lucky to have found out a weapon with special effect, Various items have various special effects and some have none ,as for your knives they have an effect of increasing your agility stat by 1 when cooking. You can check your stats by saying Status Information". Jason – "Status Information" a stats menu appeared in front of his eyes and he examined the menu. The menu had 5 different stats namely : Strength ,Agility ,Intelligence ,Endurance and Mana. He understood the stats but was confused by the Mana stat .As he was thinking about it, the Mana stat showed a description suddenly which read **Mana is the energy which a being has and which can be used for magic or for enhancing your body** He understood the gist of it by this description also came to know the fact that the menu is connected to his brain and he doesn't have to call out loud every time but only a single thought can do the work too. Now he checked his stats and they were : Strength – 5 ,Agility – 7 ,Intelligence – 20, Endurance – 25 ,Mana – 0. He was always an average student in his school but seeing his stat he couldn't believe that his intelligence was 20 which he thought was very high ,considering his other stats which were in single digit. He didn't know what these units indicated but he thought of a way to get a gist of how strong he is ,he called his brother Arden and asked him to check his stats. Arden's stats were : Strength – 3 ,Agility – 6 ,Intelligence – 10, Endurance – 25 ,Mana – 0. He thought for sometime and understood a bit of the strength and agility level ,Jason and Arden both were athletic from a young age and used to go for a run now and then which had improved their speed and Endurance both, they were quite fast when compared to boys their age. Later after talking with Sera he also came to know that the Endurance stat also affected the amount of HP(Health Points or Hit Points) they had as the HP his stats menu showed was 2500 and same for his brother. The HP was 100 times the Endurance stat ,he also inquired about what is the average stat for a human and came to know that the average stats were : Strength – 3 ,Agility – 5 ,Intelligence – 5, Endurance – 15 ,Mana – 0 ,he was happy to know the fact that he and his brother were above average .For sometime he also inquired some more information regarding the system and about the tutorial. He came to know that the tutorial will be consisting of a Zombie Horde and they will have to survive for about 12 hours . The size of the Zombie Horde would be in respect with the number of people which are present in a particular region. For example if a region had about 100 people of different gender and different age group then the horde will be having 200 zombies. He also got to know that the money he had can also be converted to gilds 100 dollars were equal to 1 gild and he currently had around 50k in his account after saving up from the pension they got from the bank which he turned all into gild and got 500 gilds immediately, his brother had also saved up around 1K and he too converted them and got 10 gilds. Jason also sent 150 coins to his brother after getting to know the transfer method for transferring the coins. Now He had 350 G and his brother had 160 G. To be continued...
