LILIAN'S P. O. V The door clicked shut behind Roman, the sound echoing loudly until it faded slowly away. Alberto didn’t move at first when he shut the door. He turned the locks slowly, maybe just to be sure Mr. Cappellucci wouldn’t storm back in — not that he’d find anything worth barging in for. I could be standing here in nothing but my skin, and Alberto still wouldn’t touch me. But that wasn’t what mattered right now. Calista was gone. Disappeared, just like that. I wrapped my arms around myself and looked at Alberto with tears in my eyes.
