CALISTA'S P.O.V The bathroom tiles were the color of washed-out plum, and I stared at them longer than I needed to, like I was planning to commit every detail, every faded color and crack to memory. I heard a sob somewhere, loud and sad. I didn't even know if it was mine or Aunt Lena's. Another followed almost immediately, shaking my shoulder with it—Yep, it was mine.
